I put up a new profile photo, which I've been putting all over the Internet this week (it doesn't view large on the blog for some reason, but it's on Flickr), changed from "Katherine" to "katherine of chicago" (and made all the categories on the right side of the blog lowercase letters), dropped the "Virgo" detail (guess I never noticed you could uncheck that--I find astrology amusing and have quite a few alleged Virgo characteristics, but don't take it seriously enough to look like I endorse it), and changed the "About Me" ("many photos, some stories, a few opinions"--I wish I had more stories and opinions on my blog, but then I also like the idea of being considered a photoblogger).
Anyone know why "profile views" counts your views of your own profile while you're signed into your own blog? I figure that accounts for dozens of the views! Flickr doesn't count one's viewing of one's own material, why should Blogger?

American Folk Art is an exhibition that features defunct motorcycle club cuts, or vests,
and their assorted, colorful club colors, or patches, that represent a unique form of
American folk art embodying the freedom and nonconformity of bikers. Jeff Decker is a
historian and artist famed for his bronze sculptures of vintage motorcycles. He grew up
surrounded by the car culture of southern California in the 60s.

Lightning storms a couple nights prior to our hike had set of many fires in the region which made for some pretty hazy conditions for much of our hike- like this view of Hells Canyon from Heavens Gate Lookout. The lookout provides views of Idaho, Montana, Washington, and Oregon.

PEANUTS FROM HELL! (big booming deep voice)
are the farm animals hell peanuts?
maybe this is the hell version of the cartoon peanuts in which snoopy is a realistic looking dog and charlie brown is a bowl of flower seeds?
it could be just a normal street scene in hell and the sign is demonic political graffiti.
or flowers are hell's peanuts, as in snack food. i could see demons devouring the symbol of earthly beauty.
so many possibilities.
I created a new area of Hell just past the Bloodbath. Tidbits of newness all over, fresh paint, bodies and a little ice.
