Painted for Volcanair at Southend in 1985 but never entered service.

Lift of a concrete roof section at the new swimming arena in Täby, Sweden, by a Liebherr LTM 1400 7-1. mobile crane.

Two shipboard cranes slowly lifted a 410-ton Navy tugboat from the water onto a heavy-lift vessel Feb. 28 at the Port of Tacoma for its journey to a U.S. military base in Japan.

 

Built by Tacoma's J. M. Martinac Shipbuilding Corporation, the tug is named Puyallup in honor of the Northwest-based Puyallup Tribe of Indians. Learn more at portoftacoma.com/Page.aspx?cid=5530.

Landing on Runway 27 at Memphis International is Airbourne Express (ABX) DC-8 N812AX. The Douglas product was originally delivered to Air Canada as CF-TIV in 1970. Later changing to C-FTIV. It also flew for Evergreen Intenational as N819EV before Airbourne. After ABX is flew for HeavyLift International Airlines (UAE) as A6-HLC and Kam Air (Afghanistan) as YA-VIC before being retired.

The second-last airworthy Belfast. Its parts were later used to keep G-HLFT in the air and was eventually scrapped.

HeavyLift..now gone...I believe this was the longest version of the amazing DC-8 series...there were a few that got re-engined with the CFM s...the short body re-engined version had a range of 7000 nms..!!
