The headlamp offers a very perfect selfie for me. You'd only know it was a selfie because I told you it was one. ;)
Finding some sun for a winter snow camp. Headed East to Blewett Pass and hiked up towards the southern saddle. Pitched camp in about two feet of snow. We were with another family and E and their kiddo spent hours sledding. Good weather, not too cold.
A little project that i have been working on. All the high end cars now have what they call angel eyes as daylight running lights around there headlights.I wanted to do something a bit different and make some demon eyes for Crusty. I had to use three pair of headlamps and cut and modify them to make one pair but I like the results, I could have bought a set of Oracles but they are expensive and I like building stuff myself.
Trasteando por el garage con los flashes, la idea era sacar una toma con los dos faros, pero dado lo dificil que se ponía aislar los reflejos saque una toma mas cerrada. Tuve que volver a mojarlo porque se secaba bastante rápido ;).
The initial idea was shoot both headlamps, but there was a lot of reflection in my little garage, so I decided only shoot one. Perhaps for this one a simple lighting schema will be enought.
Strobist info: 2 SB-28 full power to the garage ceiling to get a big soft area .

This looks a little like some fine Waterford crystal. It's actually crystal, showing the center portion of a 1920s FIAT headlamp!!! What would we pay today for a decanter or pitcher with a similar design? At lot!

The second generation New Age Subaru Impreza was launched in 2000. Larger than the previous generation with the Saloon increasing its width by 40cm, and the hatch by just 5. Powered by Turbocharged versions of the 2.0- and 2.5-liter engines in the WRX and WRX STI models.
After mixed reaction to the round headlight design, in 2001 Subaru enlisted the help of Peter Stevens of Prodrive, who updated the car's fascia in 2002 with more rectangular headlamps. This version of the Impreza has gained the nickname 'Blob Eye' among Subaru enthusiasts.
A second facelift came in 2005, with a new frontal design by eek designer Andreas Zapatinas, formerly of Alfa Romeo, The facelift introduced Subaru's new corporate face, including its controversial "jet intake and wings" grille design that first appeared on the Subaru R2 kei car. The new corporate face was designed to pay homage to their aircraft manufacturing roots, the Nakajima Aircraft Company. This version of the Impreza has gained the nickname 'Hawk Eye' among Subaru enthusiasts.

The Ford Aglia 105E was launched in 1960 powered by a new over square, high reving OHV engine with a four speed transmission at last. Suspension was the same as the outgoing 100E.
Its American-influenced styling included a sweeping nose line, and on deluxe versions, a full-width slanted chrome grille in between prominent "eye" headlamps. (Basic Anglias featured a narrower, painted grille and a backward-slanted rear window (so that it would remain clear in rain, according to contemporary marketing claims). and muted tail fins. An Estate car joined the line up in September 1961.
The new styling was joined by something the smaller Fords had been needing for some time, a new engine – a 997 cc overhead valve (OHV) straight-four with an oversquare cylinder bore that became known as the "Kent". Acceleration from rest was still sluggish, but it was much improved from earlier cars. Also new for British Fords was a four-speed manual gearbox with synchromesh on the top three forward ratios:
The Estate car joined the range in 1961 and became popular with travelling salesman. The basic Anglia 105E featured a smaller, painted grille with a chromed reveal, rendering it easily identifiable from the De Luxe 105E.
Ford supplied the BBC with Anglias to appear as Panda cars alongside the Ford Zephyr patrol cars in the Police Drama Z Cars, and in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Ron Weasley owned a flying Anglia. Both Dinky and Matchbox produced an Anglia in their range of toy cars

As I drove home I stopped and looked into the woods near my house, lit up by my car headlamps.
(Unlike Robert Frost I did not have "Miles to go before I sleep.")
A beautifully colored inward look at a prismatic distortion of the surrounding display of holiday lights reflecting off the interior prism of a modern automobile headlamp.
Best when viewed in LIGHTBOX.

India's 3rd longest running train - 16317 Kanniyakumari Shri Mata Vaishnavo Devi Katra HIMSAGAR express departs Nagercoil Junction and makes way towards Trivandrum Central with LED headlamps fitted RPM WAP-7 37143 in charge.
Another one inspired by the upcoming Macro Mondays' group theme "Trains, Planes & Automobiles". Yet another unlikely to be used for submission to the group which has a limit of one photo per week.
Off something European and early 1980s I reckon. There is a reference number on it - 301-119 428. I tried doing a search but couldn't find anything.

Not a very professional video, I know, but it makes the point! Different manufacturers use different plastic formulas, so this doesn't work on all headlamps. However, it has worked on 3 of 4 of my vehicles. If it doesn't work on yours, don't blame me... Good Luck! Oh, and only use 100% cotton cloth!
