In the SF bay area for work this weekend. On Thursday night, my friend/co-worker, Sara, and I went out after dinner and made some images o the bridge. (I still need to post them)

On Friday night we headed out after dinner once again, but gave up when we saw unusually dense fog about 20 minutes from the bridge.

Tonight, I saw the same fog. But was alone and had nothing else to do, so I went on anyway...

the fog lifted half way across the bridge!! The Marin side of the bridge was totally clear!

This is a HDR composite of 4 separate images that I mashed together in PSE6.

This is an infrared HDR captured with a Nikon D7100 converted for 830 nm cutoff by Lifepixel. The "Sturgeon Moon" was setting with the Earth's shadow (Belt of Venus) and as it did the bright moon cast shadow bands.

The Santa Elena Canyon (Big Bend National Park) by Mark Stevens

Definitely a view that has an element of being dramatically beautiful with the Rio Grande flowing through these tall cliffs all around. I wanted to capture a view of that. 1,500 feet on both sides! This was an HDR capture I took that best brought out the colors of the cliffs with the brightening day around me. I used Nik HDR Efex Pro 2 for the final image.
