Estimating that more than 13 million children aged six to 17 were victims of cyber bullying, the poll also revealed that more than two million of those victims told no one about being attacked. One-third of all teens (ages 12-17) and one-sixth of children (ages 6-11) have had mean, threatening or embarrassing things said about them online. 10 percent of the teens and four percent of the younger children were threatened online with physical harm. 16 percent of the teens and preteens who were victims told no one about it. The idea was to capture a couple with a love/hate relationship, using inverted backdrops and outfits on the subjects to show this.
I hate Mongkok.
Just as I finished photography that night and back home, I got chocking due to the heavily polluted air in Mongkok.
It's true that the air in everywhere in Hong Kong is heavily polluted, but Mongkok is just even more serious. To me, it's like hell.

Last week (W/C - 20/1/13) was Hate Crime Awareness Week in Greater Manchester which was held as the city’s new hate crime strategy came into place.
This outlines how the City Council, together with Greater Manchester Police, the Crown Prosecution Service and other agencies will work with residents across the city to tackle the issue, and follows a consultation event last summer in which partners and residents were invited to talk about their experiences.
The strategy includes measures such as increasing reporting of hate crime incidents, taking effective action against perpetrators, making sure the agencies involved work more closely together, providing proper support to victims and preventing hate crime by educating people and working to change attitudes.
Manchester youngsters got the chance to find out about hate crime during a series of events held to raise awareness of the problem over the week.
Meanwhile, residents’ groups across the city held dozens of events throughout hate crime awareness week to help their neighbours understand the issue.
The events, supported by the City Council, include:
The Whalley Range based Community On Solid Ground project, which provides activities to encourage young people to get back into work, education or training, held an event on 26 January aimed at raising awareness of hate crime among young people.
Manchester street pastors went out in Rusholme on 25 January to hand out information to members of the public about hate crime and how to report it.
The Mancunian Way charity held a ‘Shimmer and Shine’ beauty event to raise awareness of hate crime among young women in Gorton.
Groups of students from across south Manchester held events throughout the week.
The Challenging Hate Forum held a public event at Manchester Cathedral on 22 January.
Information about hate crime and how to report it was given out to members of the public during an event at Longsight library on 23 January.
Abraham Moss and King David High School held the first of a series of events which included visiting victims of the Holocaust and atrocities in Rwanda and Kosovo.
An event was organised by the Indian senior citizens centre in Longsight.
The city centre’s Lesbian and Gay Foundation held an event encouraging people to report homophobic hate crime.
Councillor Bernard Priest, Manchester City Council’s executive member for neighbourhood services, said: "We are determined to make sure that hate crime will not be tolerated in Manchester, but for us to deal effectively with this issue, it’s vital we work closely with residents to make sure they understand what hate crime is and change their perceptions towards people who from other groups.
"We’ve tapped into the city’s famous community spirit and Manchester should be proud that a wide range of different groups from across the city have come on board to join us in the fight against hate crime. It’s also vital that young people know about hate crime and so the play being held at the Manchester Communications Academy is an excellent opportunity to get the message across to them."
Greater Manchester Police Assistant Chief Constable, Garry Shewan, said: “Hate crime is something that can ruin the lives of many, it could be happening right under our noses where those closest to us could be living in fear and not even know that they are a victim of crime.
“ This awareness week is about showing the people of Manchester that we are working together with Manchester City Council, the CPS and our local partners to put a stop to hate crime but also to open people’s eyes to the problem and ask them to challenge it, speak up and encourage victims to report it.
“Every individual has a right to feel safe and secure in their surroundings, free from hostility and harassment. If this isn’t the case than it needs to stop and we won't tolerate it. If it's happening to you, speak to someone and get the help you need so we can bring offenders to justice.”
Tony Lloyd, Greater Manchester Tony Lloyd, Greater Manchester Police and Crime Commissioner, said: "Hate crime is a blight on our society. No-one should be a victim of crime simply because of who they are.
“This kind of work is incredibly important as it helps people understand what hate crime is and shows that police and other agencies will listen to the diverse communities affected and take it seriously. By standing together we can stamp it out for good."

25 things about me, tagged by Lizz and Haley. I think I did one of these a few years ago on Flickr, so I hope I don’t repeat myself!
1. I own too many dolls. Really, far too many. But I can’t bear selling them. I do it at times out of absolute necessity, but I really, really hate it!
2. I like to run. I started it about a year and a half ago because I’d had a bad break-up six months previously and needed to focus my mind on something. It’s become a bit of an obsession – I ran a marathon this year, and I find that my mood can be almost wholly dependent on how well my running is going (I’m not always nice to be around when I’m injured!)
3. I’m obsessed with mirrors. I’m either avoiding them completely, or scanning my reflection repeatedly, depending on my mood. In restaurants I try not to sit opposite a window I can see myself in, as I get distracted by looking at my reflection, and it’s kind of embarrassing!
4. I’m really retarded with toothpaste tubes, the kind with the pump on. I break tube after tube, I can’t understand how I have a degree but can’t work a toothpaste tube.
5. I like to wear bright colours, I’m definitely not one of those people who lives in black. In fact, I mostly dislike black being close to my face, because I think it washes me out. The only colour I won’t wear is lilac (for the very same reason).
6. Although I wear bright colours on the outside, my taste in underwear is extremely dull and practical. I favour flesh-coloured T-shirt bras, and no-VPL knickers, much to the disappointment of many a boyfriend!
7. My pet hate in people is flakiness (in terms of personality, not dandruff – though I don’t like that much either). Sadly, flaky people seem to disguise themselves rather well, so I end up befriending them, only to realise further down the line that they’re completely useless.
8. I’m severely body dysmorphic and worry about whether or not I look fat every single day. It’s nauseating – things are nowhere near as bad as they were when I was in my early-20s, but I still wish it could be better.
9. I still watch Neighbours. I find it hilarious (in a ridiculous way) and I really, really want to go to Melbourne and go on the Neighbours trail. I would be sooo excited to meet the cast members!!
10. In addition to Neighbours, I still watch Home and Away. I also watch 90210, and latterly, One Tree Hill. Oh yes, I watch some very bad TV.
11. I want to kill the couple on the match.com ad, who “like old movies, like The Godfather 3” (it’s on right now). They’re dreadful, and I hope they don’t breed.
12. I plan to train as a pilates instructor next year. I’ve become obsessed with the benefits of core strength, so I figure that I may as well teach it to others (rather than boring people about it in general conversation like I do now!)
13. When I move in with my boyfriend next year, the first thing I want to buy is a ragdoll kitten.
14. When I move in with my boyfriend next year, the first thing I will ACTUALLY have to buy will be lots of glass cabinets to house my dolls, so that said ragdoll kitten does not destroy them.
15. At the moment I work three days a week from home, and two in the office. I have a horrible habit of doing no work at all on a Monday (in fact, I’ve done just that today) which makes the rest of my week suck. I never learn!
16. Although I’m not mad about chocolate, I have become oddly addicted to chocolate-covered rice cakes. They are yummy!
17. I’m a bit OCD about certain things. If I’m watching the TV, the volume has to be on a number that is divisible by five. I eat crisps in fives too. My boyfriend finds it hilarious to put the volume on 14 and hide the remote, or feed me six crisps then run off with the bag.
18. I’m absolutely starving right now. All the running means that I have to eat really often, and that I get maaaad if I can’t eat when I need to!
19. I think that the two most overrated celebrities of the last fifteen years have been Cheryl Cole and Princess Diana.
20. I really like guinea pigs. I had them when I was small and they lit up my world, I squeal whenever I see a picture of guinea pigs because I think they are so lovely. I couldn’t own them again though, as they don’t live long and would break my heart after just a very few years.
21. I don’t Twitter, because some random girl in the US already has the ID “Blondiepops” and I stubbornly refuse to call myself anything else.
22. I hate religion. Hate it. It’s done so much harm in the world that the word pretty much leaves me cold.
23. The above pic is of me with my Grandma. She was fantastic, and had the best Scottish accent in the world. She passed away in 2008, and I miss her.
24. I am experiencing big love for vintage Christmas decorations this year.
25. Now that I have written this, I am off to de-box some new dolls, then go to a pilates class. Both of which are very “me” activities!

WASHINGTON, D.C., August 12, 2018, Thousands of counter-protesters took to the parks and streets of Washington, D.C. in response to a planned “Unite the Right 2” rally of white nationalists on the one year anniversary of deadly violence in Charlottesville, VA. The 2018 edition of the racially charged “right wing” event proved to be a failure for organizers as less than 20 individuals made an appearance in front of the White House rally site, and appeared to make a hasty departure despite police escort and protection. The energized counter-protesters, better organized and with an exponentially larger presence, at times vocalized anti-fascist and anti-racist sentiments, but was mostly contained by a large police presence. During the 1917 Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, one counter-protester, Heather Heyer, was killed by a neo-nazi and two Virginia state troopers died in a helicopter accident.

Times Square – 42nd Street (New York City Subway)--Words of Love and Friendship in Persian, Arabic, and Igbo (Nigeria) on Pamela Geller's words of hate...I had more signs in Persian but I didn’t put them up as I had a police officer watching and ready to arrest me—he’d approached me earlier and asked if I was going to put any stickers on the wall (he’d seen my signs and the double sided mounting tape!)--so I only managed to get a few up--the Persian words are by yours truly--a Moroccan woman who was passing by wrote Love in Arabic, and the Igbo text was written by a sweet young Christian man from Nigeria who spoke to me at great length, visibly upset by the racist ad and who stood guard so I could put up the signs--
PS. I wanted the messages on the notes to be in Persian which is my mother tongue, and in Arabic so people, who tend to get nervous about our languages, could look them up and have themselves a lovely surprise :) Also note that many New Yorkers speak or know someone who can either read Persian or Arabic or Igbo--not to mention that the Persian words (representing Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan) for Love (عشق); Friendship (دوستی); Kindness (محبت) and the Arabic for Love (حب) are the same in Dari (Afghanistan) and Urdu (Pakistan) ♥ So that's already over 30 different nationalities and a dozen or so languages and dialects covered on those stickers :)

I hate taking photos of myself. Usually because I have a lopsided smile/sticky out chin/double chin*
So anyway, this is indeed me (camera in way of said chin, of course) - a very quick shot due to cling-on-non-napping-small-child!
When a national "hate group" announces they are going to hold a protest at East High School, what do DMPS students do? Hold a Love Rally. Hundreds of students from East were joined by their peers from high schools throughout the city over the lunch hour in a celebration of their school, our diversity and each other.
Don't judge me by this photo, I hate it too, but I liked the idea at the time.
Thanks to mah kid sista for posing in this for me and not freaking out (too much) when I asked her to do this photo. I think he hands look intense in this photo, which is basically why I put it up. The heart sucks because I painted it on.
The idea came just from my friend mentioning "love/hate relationships" randomly today. I wish this came out different but for now I think I'll let things lie.
Oh and I might turn off comments for all my photos but keep notes on and stuff. Or I don't know. I'm going to play around with things.
