Eiders like to build their nest near the fireplaces or places where people are around. Thus the predators and egg stealing birds stay away.

Hatching Hill, Leafield, Oxfirdshire. Shame the sun just couldn't be arsed that day either.

I assume these are Green Shieldbug, hatching nymphs. Please correct me if I am wrong

Messing with eggs again...

Rabidosa rabida - Wolf spider with her hatching spiderlings. They will climb on Mama's back and ride around until they are old enough to live on their own.

This shot was taken for the "Arrival" challenge in the Techguy group. The Spanish moss & Reindeer moss used to make the nest had the fringe benefit of adding a wonderful fragrance to the room.

This is a cameratoss to which the Fractalius filter was applied and the image was later inverted with a hue adjustment to maintain the original colors although on a different color background.
