Not an uncommon sight in old Saabs. The foam backing on the material disintegrates over time and the fabric sags. Frustrated owners often tear out the material or pin it up with thumbtacks. You can see the sagging material on the sunroof panel.

One of six views of my new baby, for Ira. Duane keeps bragging on my car & Ira's gotten curious to see her. Here she is, my 2012 Prius V (that's letter V) hybrid wagon! I got her a week ago, today! I had been driving a Toyota Matrix AWD hatchback for the past 6 years. Once I retired, I started toying with the idea of getting a new car for my new stage of life. I was conflicted, though. I was considering a small, fuel-efficient car, a car with the size & versatility of my Matrix, or, perhaps, something a bit larger & more comfortable, for travelling. When I realized that Toyota had brought out a new model Prius in 2012, I wondered if it might meet all of my wishes in one car. So far, I'm tickled pink! Although my Prius is only a foot longer than the Matrix & 6 inches higher (width is the same), it has approximately 3 times as much storage space in the hatch, as well as having reclining back seats on a track. The front seats adjust in a variety of ways, for all body sizes & shapes. Even in the break-in period, I'm getting 43.8 mpg (over the 28-32 in my Matrix). The car accelerates well, brakes & corners well. In short, I expect to be a happy Prius owner. Did I mention the built-in GPS? Big, clear screen & talks to me. Seems to give clear, correct directions. Yay! The color is called "Clear Sky Metallic." It's an unassuming light blue, bordering on silver; nice! Check here for more information on the Prius:

This shot shows a side view of my new Prius, with Duane's Toyota truck in the background.

The Prius was discontinued in 2017 in favor of the RAV4. It was a mistake in my opinion. The two are not comparable!
