I bought myself a Christmas present in the week before Christmas, and took delivery of this 2012 Ford Focus Titanium Hatchback on December 30th, 2011 - taking advantage of some year end offers! And of course, when you buy a car in the Winter, they usually throw in the rather expensive winter tires and rims for free. I've had the car for about 3 months now, and it has been great! I never would have thought I'd buy a Ford. I guess I'm part of their new clientele that has been buying Ford's in North America ever since they decided to bring over their European styling and make them actually look like something worth buying. What an odd business strategy, indeed! Who'd have thought?! Incidentally, usually the only negative review about this car is the "complexity" of the Ford Sync / MyTouch system, however, it's rather immediately easy to deduce that anyone who has a problem with the painstakingly straight forward interface has never actually spent 5 minutes with a computer or iPhone in their entire life.

An early 1980s Honda Accord hatchback. Getting a bit rare to see these days.

Eh. . . I tried a far shot. Focused in the wrong spot. It was a quick shoot, very cold and windy. Just a test for my new flashes. .

The Dacia 1325, also known as 1325 Liberta or simply as Liberta, was a car manufactured by Romanian auto marque Dacia from 1991 to 1996.

The Dacia 1325 was the hatchback version of the Dacia 1310. Some photos exist of Dacia 1325 Libertas fitted with the final CN4 front fascia, although rare. It was the successor to the Dacia 1320 hatchback, which was built from 1987 until 1990. At first the 1325 was just an updated copy of the old 1310, but in 1993 it received a facelift matching that of the 1310, and it remained in production until 1996.

As the 1325 cost more than the more desirable station wagon model, sales were limited. Although more successful than the earlier 1320, only about 7,800 examples were built in total. Exports were limited to nearby Eastern European countries and also Greece.

The 1.3-liter, 40 kW engine was only available in the comparably expensive 1325 for the first year of production, replaced by the 47 kW, 1.4 L in 1993.

Two 6th gen Accord, both 2.0 VTEC SE Executives. Silver hatchback running on an autobox and the maroon one a manual. The hatchbacks were the more practical of the two with a wide boot opening whilst the saloon was more executivey. The autoboxes are typical Honda smoothness, all designed and built in-house unlike most other manufacturers, the manual gearboxes are smooth and slick, 1st gear is quite high geared but makes for nice revving on the way to the VTEC crossover.

These were built in Swindon, last of the Accords to be built there before production was moved to Japan. These are somewhat an end of an era for me (well bar the 7th gen) as I don't think Honda will make cars like this anymore, VTEC, double wishbones all round, mechanical throttle, hydraulic steering etc. New cars are all run on electronics these days, lacking any feel or connection, and Honda are slowly following the crowd with turbocharging and shitty cheap suspension setups, there is no successor to the current 8th gen Accord confirmed so we might not see one again in the UK.
