These are the images of mine from when I found it on Craigslist. Actualy, cookieboy found it and then called me while i was unknowningly on the phone with the owner talking about his other Pintos.
from Carguide 95, if anybody has a copy of carguide 94, please scan and upload the lada section. I know i have it still but cant seem to find it, the 94 edition had the lada niva truck, convertible, and sagona including a test log review of the sagona.
I couldn't resist one more Google Earth picture of a Volkswagen, and this picture of a Mark 5 Polo hatchback sedan is so perfect, it looks like it came from a VW brochure.
But why not? It was taken in Senigallia, Italy, where my maternal grandfather happened to come. If you go on to Google Earth yourself - or if you're lucky enough to go there - you'll find that the Adriatic coastal town hasn't changed much since 1924, the year my grandfather left for America.
One day I hope to get to see the place in person. Hopefully I'll see wher emy paternal grandfather's own paternal grandfather grew up in Ireland as well.
