We had to tackle 48 screws (and a lot of nasty things-which-live-under-the-keyboard).
Had to dismantle the thing completely just to replace the harddisk. Took us 1 hour - less than expected, but still way too much. Hope the MacBook's internal design is better.
Magnus Johansen Dahl in Totens blad.

Harddisko: Noise & Disturbance Amplifier System for Harddisks ( Valentina Vuksic )
Scratching harddisks producing (un)dancable disko sounds.
After 5 years of (24/7/365) operation, the drive crashed and died. But, it's a nice piece of technical innovation for taking pictures of it, so i decided to open the Harddrive and take some photo's of its inside.
I have Windows 7 operating system installed on my machine, several days ago when I started my computer, suddenly my system did not boot. After that issue the only message I was getting after booting up in BIOS (basic input/output system), that windows cannot be found, insert the BOOT DVD.

The bluon emissions from the plasma drive create a ghostly blue glow. Fortunately research indicates bluons are not dangerous to human tissue. Betacentaurian carbon-based life forms are not quite so fortunate, but that is another story.
two vital pieces of equipment they don't tell you you need: a set of jeweller's flat tip screwdrivers, and a cup of tea.
(33/33) I remember how my dad bought a 100 or 120MB (yes, mega byte) HDD what seems like only a few years ago. And today I bought a 1 TB HDD. I'd been thinking about what to do and then decided to "make nails with heads" as we say.
Some weeks ago my computer had the hickups.... and threw away 25 GB OF PHOTOS!!!!! :( Still busy re-organizing everything!
