How amazing : to have a 500Gb hard disk (instead of 320Gb), you only have to pay 40€ more !

Feeling bored and a little bit frustrated again. So I once again browsed the archives and exhumed some more or less interesting captures from the harddisk coffin.

(33/33) I remember how my dad bought a 100 or 120MB (yes, mega byte) HDD what seems like only a few years ago. And today I bought a 1 TB HDD. I'd been thinking about what to do and then decided to "make nails with heads" as we say.

Will try it in Denmark coming days- then hopefully in Canada/USA next year. The backdrop with it seems it is a bit heavy - because of the harddisk. But it is not something which you will leave in your car.

-----

having used it in Denmark for some days (in and out of cities) - this is a great tool. It helps you change lane (??) on the motorway ("Keep to the right") .- it helps you in big cities where you have to watch out for people, cars - and - like in Copenhagen - lots of bicycles while at the same time look out for the right street.

I had problems getting it alive after it had blackened out (no more electricity), but after resetting ++ it has been just working great.

Assignment: PCA16

Deadline: Sunday 10th February 08

Image Tag: pca16

From: The Tamed Shrew (Kate)

Mission:

Flowers. Yes, this is the week to show me how you can produce a flower picture in your own style and be pleased to hang it on your wall afterwards.

They brighten up our lives with their colour and form and can be used to convey messages of love, friendship, celebration or sympathy. They can fill a room with their scent or brighten up a dark corner and most of all, they are not boring!

WIT: I have lots of photos of flowers in my harddisk.. like thousands.... its what i usually do on sunday morning, i take photos of flowers and chuck them aside... could be because I have tons of flowers at home?

I did not quite notice the potential of this flower initially except the sun was lighting up the back of the flower and it looked kind of fragile, and the lines were in light pink.

The conversion took away the fragility and turned it into, i hope, something more abstract than a sweet and pink flower.

added vignette, something i refrained from using because i love it..

what do you guys think of this?

We had to tackle 48 screws (and a lot of nasty things-which-live-under-the-keyboard).

Had to dismantle the thing completely just to replace the harddisk. Took us 1 hour - less than expected, but still way too much. Hope the MacBook's internal design is better.

Jeg fik også en ekstern harddisk..

Magnus Johansen Dahl in Totens blad.

The bluon emissions from the plasma drive create a ghostly blue glow. Fortunately research indicates bluons are not dangerous to human tissue. Betacentaurian carbon-based life forms are not quite so fortunate, but that is another story.

After 5 years of (24/7/365) operation, the drive crashed and died. But, it's a nice piece of technical innovation for taking pictures of it, so i decided to open the Harddrive and take some photo's of its inside.
