Fun and games with PCs old and new as I plug the SATA drive from the new system into a USB adapter in the old one so I can migrate the LVM volumes from the 200G IDE drive to 1T SATA.
If you have the connector(s) on your case, it is possible to see the activity of all 4 of the harddisks
Alle diese Dinge sind dazu gemacht, seine eigenen - persönlichen Spuren zu hinterlassen - in der Regel für lange Zeit. Wenn man nicht wahnsinnig aufpasst, fallen die Daten den falschen Personen in die Hände sobald der Speicher erneuert oder vermeintlich kaputte Datenträger ersetzt werden. Ersreckend wo sich ausgemusterte Datenträger überall wiederanfnden.
Bei den Disketten handelt es sich übrigens um die Variante 3,5 Zoll DD :-)
So I spent a lot of time with my computer, then I got an external hard drive to protect my data, and then I made this bag to protect the external hard drive. One hour well spent, I say :-)

Inside the box is a 250GB drive in a Porsche designed casing, a power brick, a cable for power supply, and a USB cable (+ some software you don't really need).
The USB cable is the shortest I've ever seen. It's only about 50cm (19.6 inches) long. It's not a big deal for me, as it's still long enough, but worth mentioning.
