Shadowpeople walk

- Yes that's a simple free-form haiku!

When I shot the picture, I didn't think much of it. The shadowpeople were far away, there wasn't that much light and I had to zoom all the way in to 85mm. Once the B&W image was stored on my computer (image was taken last year) I didn't even notice the rays of light until this morning. I cropped it just a little, a small levels adjustment and it was worth posting.

A lesson to never give up on forgotten pictures. Have a stroll through your harddisk sometime on a rainy day and you'll see.

When I was tracking the search terms people used to find my images via google, I noticed that 'shadowpeople' was one of the search terms people used. When I googled it myself, I found out that shadowpeople actually are an (un)real phenomenon!

~Edit 10-06-09:

For a long time it looked like this picture would be my first to reach 1k views, but then winter turned into spring and everyone started searching for dandelions!

So instead this picture turned out to be the second to reach 1k.

Thanks for watching everyone!

History

I want to try Linux but I worry many things.

Now,I try VMware(vmware player 20MB download) and config .vmx on VMX Builder program(http://petruska.stardock.net/Software/VMware.html)

Oh! I'd just known that VMware is able to boot .img of linuxs by preparing the .vmx

example...Let me boot DemoLinux.img(~600MB) and save some data to mounting virtual harddisk(min.2GB.)

I can change pairs of apps by press control-alt and control-g

before this tryout I have Cygwin

but Cygwin is not a way to run native linux apps on Windows

problems

1.Drivers and Peripheral are not detected ex.printers

2.Very slow

Finally,I also deleted them and install kanotiX-Thai :>

FC6 came from Red Hat Distribute.

because Red Hat is commercial

but FC is Free GNU/Linux OS

it's new,modern but unstable

These are various storage devices that I need to break before I put them into the recycling bin at the collection station. I don't want anyone to get my data.

The sandisk chip scale package came out of one of these compact flash cards. The contacts for the flash card are placed directly on the package pcb.

One of the hard disk drives which was disassembled during the Geeky Bling workshop seemed to have suffered a violent head crash.

Long time ago... At this time I just had 3 girls and thought, no other girls will follow! Clueless, naive past me! Here is Nana in her first "bought" fullset made by nosukeman and boots by volks. I found a lot of "old" pictures on my rescued harddisk.

I just found the pictures for this panorama on my harddisk. I took them on my trip to Japan in 2010, but never tried to merge them - until now. :) Quite happy with the result even the pictures were taken with a small point and shoot ...

Remember him?

I just realised that I have so many photos of this little guy just sitting in my harddisk. He really must have sat still for a good long time!

How I wish I had more time to develop all my projects, interests, portfolio, website etc.

There are currently 6.146.912.256 bytes worth of pictures on my harddisk waiting to be processed and I really want to spend some time 'developing' everything. I am always my own most demanding critic and I hate to let up on quality.

I felt like uploading at least one symbolical picture to show there is lots more to come, and sometimes.. less is more

Had to torture my wives flowers for my first macro attempts.

But they survived and are now banned on my harddisk forever.

One very dead crashed hard drive. At least it served one last purpose providing a subject for this picture.

Representing some of the hard drives that have failed on me over the years. Shot for an ultra-exciting presentation I making on Thursday night on backup strategies for photographers: photochrome.org/2010/11/27/exploring-photography-backup-s...

The weather is grey and depressing at the moment. We haven't seen any clouds for days there is just one grey mass. The air is so dirty you can't see the other side. A good time to explore one's harddisk. I posted a color version some time ago but I'm really in a B&W mood now. I'm trying to build a bit of a HK B&W set: www.flickr.com/photos/xavibarca/sets/72157622808997061/

Picture of a spinning hard disk.

I almost bumped into THIS!! It's playing dead, trying to fool ME!! HA!

This photo was taken by G5, the day after I first got it. I lost the original photo because of harddisk failure *sobs*. I downloaded this small version from a photo sharing site.

When the f****ng windows crashed with tons of movies in the harddisk, only gnu/linux Knoppix did the job and could start the computer from a liveCD and burn safely in DVD all the movies.

Cuando el j*****do windows se fue a la porra con toneladas de pelis en el disco duro, sólo gnu/linux hizo el trabajo y pude arrancar el ordenador desde un liveCD y quemar con seguridad las pelis en DVDs.
