Here's another one of the Spoonbills I saw last Saturday at Green Cay. This one was the second one to land on the dead tree and he looked quite happy.

When I went through my year's photos for the awards, I couldn't believe that Mr PH hadn't made an appearance this year- how time flies! So here he is to wish everyone a happy new year.
I'm sorry for being a lousy contact recently - I've lost my mojo of late and I'm not sure how much I'll be around next year. I need to take a break from the photo a day to get some things sorted in the real world but I will still be here. It's such a special place and I couldn't bear to leave. Thank you to everyone who has continued to drop by - I hope 2011 is a fab year for everyone!

Good morning everyone. On Feathery Friday I'm pleased to present a Carolina Wren (Thryothorus ludovicianus) that stopped by to sing Happy Birthday to America on its 238th birthday. If you've ever heard a Carolina Wren sing you know it did it beautifully.
I hope everyone has a truly great Independence Day. Be safe, have fun, and take the time to be thankful for living in the greatest and most generous nation on earth. Something many simply take for granted or don't appreciate how fortunate they are.

This is serious happiness prompted by the spicy Arabian coffee served with dates and tahini. It won't displace my regular brew, though it makes a nice change and is definitely one for occasional consumption.
Today the Hereios of the We're Here group are doing Happy & Silly.
A wonderfully sunny morning so I went off for a good walk to make the most of it. It was lovely to be out and about again.

In May 2001 I holidayed in Lowestoft and this presented the perfect opportunity to explore the local operators on what became a bit of an East Anglian Safari.
Among my sightings was Happy Wanderer of Leiston Leyland Leopard / Plaxton Supreme IV C49F PNW314W. This coach was new to Wallace Arnold of Leeds in 1981.
