Happy Fence Friday..HFF!
This is a shot from the play area on the side of the, "Easy Tiger Bake Shop & Beer Garden." It's located on east 6th street here in Austin. It's a pretty cool place, especially if you like to play ping pong. Just to the left of the fence are the ping pong tables, but what's funny is, just to the left of the ping pong tables and fifteen feet down is Waller creek. I'm betting, a lot of ping pong balls have floated on down the creek..lol..At first, I wondered why the bartender gave me two ping pong balls..:) But, I figured it out fairly quickly. I didn't lose one but came close..;) The other thing of interest, and still doesn't make a lot of sense, was the full bakery upstairs. Guess it coffee and donuts in the morning and sausage, pretzels and beer in the afternoon..:) Have a great weekend

Happy Birthday
October 10th Today marks another trip around the sun for me, the 37th to be exact.
As I have gotten older my birthday has taken on less and less significance. I don't really celebrate it anymore but my family will always be more than happy to do that for me. They usually take me out for a good meal here and there and I get the usual text messages wishing me a happy birthday. But no matter how I feel about my birthday, being bombarded by “Happy birthday” messages all day is a great feeling.
Even though I may not celebrate my birthday, it still holds a special significance for me. I was diagnosed with cancer when I had just turned 18 years old and was close to losing my battle a few years later in 2006 at the age of 21, that year I spent most of my days in a hospital celebrating new years, my birthday, and thanksgiving among others within the walls of the hospital. 16 years later and I am still going strong making my rounds around the sun.
I may not be big on birthdays but every year it's a reminder that nothing should be taken for granted and knowing that I am still around to celebrate it, makes it all the sweeter.
Happy 37th Birthday to me.
Feliz cumpleaños
10 de Octubre Hoy marca otro viaje alrededor del sol para mí, el 37 para ser exacta
A medida de mi edad, mi cumpleaños ha adquirido cada vez menos importancia. Realmente ya no lo celebro, pero mi familia siempre estará más que feliz de hacerlo por mí. Por lo general, me invitan a una buena comida aquí y allá y recibo los mensajes de texto habituales deseándome un feliz cumpleaños. Pero no importa cómo me sienta acerca de mi cumpleaños, ser bombardeada con mensajes de "Feliz cumpleaños" todo el día es una gran sensación.
Aunque no celebre mi cumpleaños, todavía tiene un significado especial para mí. Me diagnosticaron cáncer cuando recién cumplía 18 años y estuve cerca de perder la batalla unos años después en el 2006 a la edad de 21 años, ese año pasé la mayor parte de mis días en un hospital celebrando el año nuevo, mi cumpleaños, y acción de gracias entre otros dentro de las paredes del hospital. 16 años después y sigo con fuerza haciendo mis rondas alrededor del sol.
Puede que no me gusten mucho los cumpleaños, pero cada año es un recordatorio de que no se debe dar nada por sentado y saber que todavía estoy presente para celebrarlo lo hace aún más bueno.
Feliz 37 cumpleaños para mí.

I took this while at a restaurant called Jack Allen's, located in south Austin.

A concept of a small Star Wars themed role playing game was originally conceived on September 27th, 2010 - the original idea had been inspired by a specific photo as six individuals added themselves as one of the six Clone Troopers featured in the item. Over the next two months, I had been conversing with the six whom had added themselves, planning and arranging several regulations, rules, and basic ideas necessary to create a working, thriving, and orderly group. On November 9th, 2010, the Flickr group was created. However, only two of the other five had responded with corps number suggestions, which had encouraged the entire corps be titled as the '36th', or '16th.' As excessively controlling as I am, I had wanted a three-digit corps title. It only took about twelve seconds to think up a number. Looking at my keyboard, I thought of the sequence '4567' and removed the six. Therefore, the four-hundred and fifty-seventh corps was born.
Starting out with six members, the group had been slow to get on its feet. However, over a twelve-month period, we have accumulated an average of 100 members, ten complete mission segments, and a grand total of eight-hundred and seventeen distinctive builds devoted to the 457th corps.
