Washington DC, December 5, 2014. Activists protesting the failure to indict killer cops Darren Wilson and Daniel Pantaleo gather in Chinatown for a rally, 'die in' and meandering march through the northwest quadrant of the city. I counted around two hundred at the 'die in', and about one hundred still present as the mostly youthful crowd stormed up gentrified 14th St. Interactions between the marchers and police were peaceful and respectful.There were no arrests I am aware of. Similar actions were taking place all across the USA. They will almost certainly continue to occur unless there is some meaningful reform of policing culture and practice, especially as it impacts communities of color.

two flash heads (with soft boxes used) one to left and one on right - both pointing at backdrop, SB600 flashed used to illuminate subjects.
Photoshop CS4 USED, to match exposure & colour a tad bit better (not much) and obviously dragged both photos onto plain white canvas to create one image :)

Lamhan Suas, or 'Hands Up' is the combined effort of mine and Louise Wyllie to produce a short film for entry into the FilmG Competition, Scotlands first ever Gaelic Film Competition.
Synopsis:
At short notice Akira discovers that The Scottish Water Board is putting small parcels of land up for auction. She is sure that no-one else knows about her discovery that one of these plots is on the Isle of Skye. The land is very cheap. Akira is determined to acquire it against all the odds but she hadn't accounted for the unusual turn of events.
