Washington DC, December 5, 2014. Activists protesting the failure to indict killer cops Darren Wilson and Daniel Pantaleo gather in Chinatown for a rally, 'die in' and meandering march through the northwest quadrant of the city. I counted around two hundred at the 'die in', and about one hundred still present as the mostly youthful crowd stormed up gentrified 14th St. Interactions between the marchers and police were peaceful and respectful. There were no arrests I am aware of. Similar actions were taking place all across the USA. They will almost certainly continue to occur unless there is some meaningful reform of policing culture and practice, especially as it impacts communities of color.

A bit of a silly one for todays shot. I am working on a picture for my 52 weeks project called childhood memories and this is one of my old toys. I think he has been picked up for indecent exposure as he tends to not wear pants.

For all my Aussie contacts, I have left his identity unknown, but I'm sure you should all remember my old friend (I'll tag his name in soon).

As a bonus he also fits in with this weeks shadows theme.

Hands Up !!

Experimenting different styles and ideas......

During the holiday season, lots of ideas are piling in my mind and this is one of them.

This time my younger son Subhon, came up with this idea and also decided to be the model. I wanted to potray a child's character , and thought this is an excellent idea to capture his mischievous nature in this capture.

Enjoy the moment !!!!

I would highly appreciate, if constructive criticisms are given for improvement.

The shot:

Two soft boxes in the back pointed at the screen with 1/2 power

One strobe with F8 power in front of model ,taken with Canon 5D, hand held, manual F8, 1/125, ISO 100

one of the few things that i liked about this show.

Made an amateur mistake here, but the rest of it is too good for me to throw away.
