Round blanket for Martinez's baby boy

This is the cardstock side of the ornament. The other side has a paper quilling coil. Both sides have a frosty glitter applied to them.I used a Sizzix machine to die cut this side,it was quick to do but the quilling side....not so quick :o( I had to make the coil fit PERFECTLY for each one.I made 7 of them in different colors.See my photostream for the other pics

Completed Oct 5,2008. This is a close up of the guitar, the radio and the microphone on a paper quilling order. A friend ordered this for her 7 year old niece who loves singing/dancing and music. I used 2 shades of pink, 2 shades of purple and a silver/gray metallic paper since her bedroom colors were purple, pink and gray. It is in an 11X14(aprox.) frame with an 8X10 matte. To see the finished order and other close up pics, look in my photostream(they are All there!) .The whole order took me aprox 45 hours to complete.

She's just sitting there all cute with her lolly pop *lick* ^_^

My customer wanted 4 colorful cupcake washcloths for a gift for her mother for Mothers Day. I found the box on clearance at Michaels.

Here's the pattern for the washcloths: www.HandmadeByAnnabelle.Blogspot.com

I'll be making more and will take pictures along the way so you can see how to fold them into cupcakes. They'll be posted on my blog too.

These are super simple to make and they're scented like fruit. I was thinking these kits would be fun for party activities,Girl scouts(6+ years),b-day favors,Summer camp projects, homeschoolers, or a "mom-n-me" quick craft. The kit would contain everything needed, except scissors. The eyes and smile would be done already. All you need to do is Whip stitch and stuff it.30 minute craft anyone? See my profile for a link if you'd like one of these:o)

Momma stands 6" tall and the chick is 2" at the head, 3" with it's tail in the air. Both made of cotton. Momma's wings are of felted lambs wool. They are painted and sanded in layers and have the feel of aged leather. My own patterns.

This was in a 8X10 shadowbox frame.A couple bought this from me at a craft show because they loved everything Western.

I was photographing these dolls outside(best lighting) and when I put them in the storage tub I thought it looked cute with them in a circle. These felt and fabric dolls are each aprox. 15" tall and stuffed with poly batting. They are also from my own pattern which I keep changing to try to make it easier to re-create them.

This is a close up of the pigs on the most recent order that I completed. It was finished Aug.14th 2008 for a baby shower on the 17th. Since the parents of the soon-to-be born baby have a farm, the theme was farm animals and specifically John Deere and Case tractors. To see the whole photo see my photostream:o)

Career week is coming at my daughter's school and I wanted to make a little something for each of the students. These were super simple and fairly frugal to make. There are 12 of them that have bows-those are for the girls. There are 13 that have a scarf-those are for the boys in class. Their heads and tails are firmly stuffed with poly-fil while their body is stuffed with a mix of PE pellets(like beanie babies) and poly-fil.The combo of stuffing materials make them more flexible than if they were filled only with poly-fil.

This is a close-up of an order that was completed Nov 9th 2008.It was ordered as a gift for a 2 year old boy(for Christmas.. shhhhhh!)see my photostream for the full pic.

I recently added faux water droplets to the lily pads and the water lily to add a little more dimension.View my profile for a link on how to get this if you like it:o)

This was completed March 2009. It was ordered for a baby shower gift. The colors and theme compliment the baby's nursery which is called "all-star".The frame(not shown in this pic) was painted Navy blue since the color of wood in the bedroom is unknown. This took aprox. 2 1/2 weeks(20 hours) to complete. This particular photo shows the depth of the quilled pieces.

Some special gifts for my friends made this November. Had so much fun crafting these!

I have been having so much fun making these this summer.I'd take my sewing basket with me when my husband would go fishing or when my son was in summer school I'd wait in the car and make these for 2 1/2 hours.I have a few more to make(I'm up to 23) then I'll decide what the heck to do with all these ice cream cones:o)I gave one to my daughter Sunee(4 yrs),she wears it on a piece of decorative cord as a necklace.I've made 2 for my nieces(they picked out what color felt, beads and ribbon they wanted on theirs),they might hook theirs to their backpacks when school starts. Some of the ice cream cones are fruit scented and the ones that have brown felt are scented like chocolate.Ahh....so many color combinations/scent choices;I'm a happy girl:o)

Each felt and fabric doll is aprox 15" tall and made from my own patterns(which I keep trying to perfect).

Just finished this little guy a few days ago. He's a felt and fabric rag doll.I call this one a rag doll because his head, feet and arms are floppy. The other dolls I've made have only floppy arms and feet(once again I'm playing with my pattern to get it right). My twin boys(9 years) who are 100% BOY, each have one of these as a collectible.Dolls are not just for girls anymore, especially when they look like Japanese Anime' characters (at least they do to me ;o)) He's available...see my profile for a link to my shop

As promised. I said I'd complete a paper quilling collage before Christmas and so I did! My kids and I love Domo so what better to make than this big monster (my husband says he looks like a brownie).Since glass glare is a total annoyance, this pic was taken unframed.See my photostream to see the rest of the collage:o) Also see my profile if you really like this-click on the link...Thanks for looking:o)

I was inspired to make this when I bought some sparkly red felt (change view to larger to see the sparkles). My aunt recently gave me a bunch of candle scents and I couldn't wait to finally use the "cucumber melon" scent. This is stuffed with poly stuffing and about 2 Tbsp. of scented aroma beads.I love how this came out,the felt was heavier and gave it a nice shape:o)

I've recently become an admin for the "Handmade is Better" group....and so I figured I best be posting something other than Velvet on my stream!!!

Made this bird from recycled wool sweater. It's 2.5 inches - not including the beaded tail.

Unicorn surprise by loves2experiment on craftster... good mail day!

:)

Finishing up a weekend project (wrap dress #1) using one our adorable printed cottons from #redroosterfabrics.

I asked Sunee what kind of felt stuffed animal she wanted me to make and she said, many times, an owl. This was made from a pattern I found in a book called "tiny toys". The pattern was modified because I didn't have the plush fabric or the big plastic eyes that it called for.

I wanted the window over my tub not so see through. I was tired of the blinds, so I am painting stained glass on it.

I've been wanting to make a Kokeshi Doll for a long time. After making one for my daughter I adjusted my pattern a little and finally came up with this. It's not exactly a Kokeshi but it's inspired by my favorite things on them. These are made with felt, fabric, buttons, safety eyes, ribbon, tassels, and poly batting. They each have an obi pocket(on the back) for little trinkets, notes or a lost tooth(it's big enough for a folded dollar to fit into). This version is lightly scented with a fruit punch smell(yum!)..If you like her.see my profile for a link:o)

Great mail day!!! Unicorn swap package arrived! I love craftster!

My son Jaden (8) often begs me to go to the basement to craft some idea that he has concocted. Well, this "Monster of Rock" is a product of our collaboration. He wanted Elvis and jagged teeth with a curl on the forehead and he wanted to be able to help sew it together. He doesn't ask for much ;o)

I knew that a rectangle shape would make his sewing job easier so I assembled everything that I could and left the stuffing and final sewing around it for him.I added the plumbers crack for that "extra gross out factor" that 8 year old boys like.Jaden showed him off at school the next day. I like him(Jaden and the "monster")
