This is one of six dresses that I made with paper(quilling, punching and weaving).I made this and the others for an order for a 6 year old little girl named Emma.See my photostream to view this yellow dress in the completed order.
I used Lion Brand's Organic Cotton for these washcloths and here's the pattern: handmadebyannabelle.blogspot.com/2010/04/crochet-pattern-...
I love handmade!
This is about 4" long and was made a long time ago(2005) for my daughter's paper quilling. I didn't have room to fit it in the shadowbox frame but I kept it anyways...maybe I'll make it into a magnet later...?
This is a red-crowned crane paper quilling. It was in a 5X7 shadowbox frame and was given to my husbands family in Thailand the summer of 2007.
These are super simple to make and they're scented like fruit. I was thinking these kits would be fun for party activities,Girl scouts(6+ years),b-day favors,Summer camp projects, homeschoolers, or a "mom-n-me" quick craft. The kit would contain everything needed, except scissors. The eyes and smile would be done already. All you need to do is Whip stitch and stuff it.30 minute craft anyone? See my profile for a link if you'd like one of these:o)
This is the biggest shadowbox(16X20) that I've ever used for paper quilling. Lots of tiny details that you can't see in THIS picture.I loved the colors for this one. This was a custom order that I nicknamed "a girls day".I called it that because it has pink little tags to identify all the fun things that girls can do in a day...left to right: "tea time", "play time", "bath time", "dress up time", "nap time", and "story time".This was bought by my sister-n-law to give as a baby shower gift to her friend. Completed March 2007 (to see this photo closer click the "all sizes" button @ the top of the pic) :o)
This is a 11X14 framed Paper Quilling Art done as a custom order. There is a pair of ballet slippers,a butterfly,a wand,a dragonfly,a crown and flowers. I also embellished the pieces with rhinestones.I've made about 30 more of these in different sized shadowbox frames and with different themes/colors.Some of them were given as gifts from me and others were ordered by someone wanting to give a unique gift to someone else. See my photostream to see what else I've made :o)

Just finished this today. The frame is about 2"X2" .This pic is 1in a set of 4 Shadowbox frames(see photostream for the rest). It took me about 4 days to finish the whole collage which is much faster than usual for me but I rushed myself to get done before Thanksgiving.See my profile for a link if you like this. Thanks for looking:o)
This is in an Oak shadowbox frame. The dresses were inspired by the Disney princesses beautiful gowns(I changed some things to make it "my own").

* UPDATE:recently sold on etsy
I've been a busy little Bee. This was the 4th of 6 shadowbox frames that I'd completed around Christmas time (2008).I didn't put this on Flickr right away because it was a gift for my niece and I didn't want her or her mom(my sister-n-law) to see it. Olyvia just turned 5 years old and is a big fan of Tinkerbell. This took about 2 1/2 weeks to complete(Tinkerbell took a lot of time to complete....maybe 5-6 days). This was framed in a 2" deep shadowbox frame that I painted White.
This was completed Nov 9th 2008 and was ordered as a gift for a 2 year old boy(for Christmas.. shhhhhh!).I had a hard time dealing with the glare that my camera's flash kept giving me so I photo'd it without the matte or frame. After I took these pics, I put it into an 10X13 shadowbox frame that was matted to 8X10.
This is the very first paper quilling that I made. It was made for my niece when she was born.I've made at least 30 more of these as gifts(all with different themes) or ordered by someone looking for an unique gift to give.See my photostream.... there all in there! :o)
This pic is a close up of the water lily only...the rest of this description is about the whole Koi WaterGarden that is in my photostream.
As I mentioned before, I love koi and making stuff ; this is a combo of both.I made something similar to this 2 years ago and gave it to my in-laws in Thailand when I visited them.I always wanted to make more koi and I finally did but this one is for a bigger frame(11X14).This pic was taken before it was framed since the glass can produce a glare. There are pics of it framed too. Each koi is aprox 7" long and made from about 30 quilled shapes(see pics of them in my photostream). This lily pad is 4" across and made from cardstock that I textured to add some dimension. The waterlily(lotus) is made form over 30 quilled marquise shaped pieces. This is currently on etsy.I will be making another one with fish that are different colors to sell in my shop soon.See my profile for a link:o)
This is a Boston terrier that I made from felt January 2009. I love black with pink and white, maybe from eating Brach's Neapolitan candy when I was a kid,so it was no accident that pink was the complimentary color for her. Her pocket in the back will hold her doggie bowl that was made from a stiffer felt with sparkles.I sewed a sparkly crown on it (made by "dress it up" buttons) and on the other side, her bowl has a smiley face on it.This took about 5-6 hours to make(a little longer since I was writing down notes as I went).I have a million ideas but only 2 hands so hopefully the notes I wrote will help me create a little faster :o)
I just love this yarn I purchased from an ETSY shop! It's so fun and great for fall / Halloween.
I could make these for you, but better yet, why don't you give it a try? Here's the url for making them yourself: handmadebyannabelle.blogspot.com/2010/04/crochet-pattern-...
This was a custom order for someones baby shower. The family was really big into nature and hunting so the order was placed for a hunting themed paper quilling BUT, for a baby girl(thank God for pink camouflage). 11X14
This is the quilling side of the ornaments. The other side is cardstock. Both sides have a frosty glitter applied to them.I used a Sizzix machine to die cut the other side,it was quick to do but the quilling side....not so quick :o( I had to make the coil fit PERFECTLY for each one..See my photostream for the other pics

As promised, I said I'd complete a paper quilling collage before Christmas and so I did! My kids and I love Domo so what better to make than this big monster (my husband says he looks like a brownie). Glass glare is a total annoyance so I've taken some pics of it unframed(See my photostream):o) If you really like this-click on the link in my profile...Thanks for looking:o)

Fireman themed paper quilling. It is in an 8X10 oak shadowbox frame. This was the first 8X10 that I'd made for a craft show.I almost sold it but the woman that was interested wanted a different firehouse number(company#) and since I couldn't change it that day she didn't buy it :o( Darn-it!

I started off making a doll head plushie for my daughter Sunee(pics is in my photostream) then realized it needed a body. After searching for kokeshi doll patterns and not finding anything that had a fabric body and a felt head,I just winged it and came up with this. Her head, hands, feet and obi are made from felt. Her body is made from cotton fabric that is stuffed with poly batting. The whole doll is Cherry Blossom scented(it smells very fresh and clean). Her pigtails are made from black shiny cording with a cute Hello Kitty bow on each one.The next time I make one of these, I'll probably change a few things to make it easier to attach her head(it was a PAIN!).Anyhow my daughter likes her and waited patiently(for a 4 year old) til she was completed.Oh I almost forgot...the dolls obi(see back view) has a pocket that can hold something small like a lost tooth (til the tooth fairy collects it and leaves a shiny coin) :o)
