This classic view of Half Dome never fails to deliver. Just add clouds and water and you've got something to work with.

Inside the wonder, Albert Kahn designed Fisher Building in Detroit, there is currently a half pipe.

Half Dome in Winter is a sight to behold. We arrived in Yosemite as the snow was coming down pretty thick covering everything in white. The next morning after sunrise we hiked through the trees and came across this incredible scene with a reflection of Half Dome in the Merced River. Don't you love Yosemite with a little snow?

I turned 50 yesterday. For various reasons, we did not get a chance to hike, but today I was able to take my first hike of my 50’s! We hiked around Mauthe Lake and enjoyed it tremendously.

While I don’t mind getting older, it’s still strange to me that my age has reached the half century point. I feel much younger and am often told I look so when people find out my age. I attribute that to staying young at heart, open minded, and a bit feral.

Remnants of a lonely farmhouse in rural Cassia County, Idaho being slowly overtaken by sage brush. The derelict lilac bush by the front door is very compelling to me. I think about those who doted on it to get it to grow in the wilderness of southern Idaho.

"Half Dome Sunset:" A controlled burn almost made Half Dome (and most other normally prominent features) invisible on my first evening at Yosemite, but at that last moment, as the sun was setting, I saw this pink-topped prolific rock emerge from the smoke framed by tall trees and wispy clouds swirling above.
