Cadet Monica H. Sowinski and Cadet Nicholas R. Webster receive the LTG Harold "Hal" G. Moore Warrior Athlete of Excellence Award 7 November 2018 inside the Haig Room at the United States Military Academy at West Point.
The award recognizes one male and female First Class Cadet each year. The recipients are extraordinary cadets who best exemplify the qualities of LTG Moore and the tenents of the warrior ethos on the athletic playing fields and in the DPE boxing and combatives program.

HAL RAYNOR, who writes the lyrics for JOE PENNER'S weekly "I'm From The City" song, lives on the outskirts of the tiny town of Glendora.

HAL RAYNOR, comedy-song writer for CBS funster JOE PENNER, has just completed a work in more seerious mood. Raynor has written a book entitled "The Fighting Jew," devoted to the life-history of Sam Dreben, who fought in every war, in every country, from the time of the Boer War through the World War. Raynor expects the book to be published in the autumn.

December 28th -- a typical day in the life of HAL RAYNOR, who is joe Penner's wong writer and script doctor. At 7 A.M., Monsieur Raynor discovers he has a lot of work to do. He packs wife and children off to Big Bear Lake; disconnects the telephone; unscrews the doorbell at his Glendora home, takes knocker off front door, locks car in garage; pulls down shades; starts work at 8:30 A.M., Thirty callers prowl around house, knock on doors and windows, depart discouraged. Raynor completes two articles and a sermon by 6 P.M., departs for the Penner residence and labors there until 3 A.M. Then he goes home.
DAVID WORRAL, head of the Herald Broadcasting Company in Australia and New Zealand, was conducted on a tour of the CBS studios at Columbia Square today (19) by HAL RAYNOR, writer for the recent Joe Penner broadcasts on CBS. Raynor has supplied Worral's chain of stations with comedy material for more than five years, in addition to his writing duties or motion pictures and radio in Hollywood.

Frans Hals schilderde een groot aantal fraaie portretten van de Haarlemse hogere klasse; kennelijk voldeed hij aan alle eisen van zijn voorname opdrachtgevers. Maritge Vooght, echtgenote van burgemeester Pieter Olycan, poseert hier in een traditionele houding, fier rechtop, de toeschouwer recht aankijkend. Aan de linkerkant vermeldde Frans Hals haar leeftijd: 62 jaar. Haar wapen daarboven werd later door een andere hand toegevoegd.
