A gorgeous Hackney lived at the property I had a photo shoot today.

Hackneys showing their high-stepping action.

This horse kept getting spooked at that corner of the arena and on about the third time round, this happened.

London's last Music Hall! In the early Fifties we went here to see the last of the old music hall acts. Jimmy James and Eli, Hilda Baker, Tommy Trinder as well as the pop stars of the day such as Joan Regan. Best of all was the Billy Cotton Band Show with Alan Breeze and Doreen Stevens.

Hackney Downs railway station is in the London Borough of Hackney in east London. The station, and all trains serving it, is operated by Greater Anglia, on the West Anglia route.

The station is a short walk from Hackney Central, on the North London Line. Until Hackney Central's closure in 1944, a passenger connection linked the two stations. However, when Hackney Central reopened in 1985, the footway did not reopen, and passengers transferring between the two stations are obliged to leave the station and transfer at street level. The station was originally opened as Downs Junction Station.
