Vuvuzelas were banned at Otakon, but not tubas...er...I think... He played the Family Guy fat guy theme music too following some guy. It was hilarious!
I love cats. I'm the cat lady. Chris pointed him out from across the crowd, he saw that I was trying to take a picture of his cat on a leash so he came over and asked if I'd buy him a beer. It was time to go home...
The big guys. There cute, they look snugly but one thing just keeps me from the classic "running threw an open field with a shinny sky" scene. THERE HORNS. My second worse animal fear is horns (first is big cats.. ohhh scary). They big, there pointy, and there on a big beefy cow. But once you get past there horns you can fall right in love with there deep simple eyes. Just don't get drawn in to far!

I missed the Galveston outing with the rest of the Assignment Houston group on June 24th, so I knew that Saturday the 30th was my last day to photograph Galveston in order to make the deadline.
My husband and cousin decided to do some pier fishing while I tried to get something worthwhile, so we packed up the car and made the drive thinking that if we got there around 6pm I could get some great daytime and sunset shots. As we were coming over the overpass into Galveston I opened the sunroof and stuck the camera out of the car to get shots of Moody Gardens. I pushed the shutter and nothing happened. My battery was still sitting on the charger at home.
CRAP.
I dropped them off at the pier and made the one and a half hour roundtrip home and back. I was not happy to say the least. This left me exactly 52 minutes before sunset to find some magic.
this guy carried his kenya flag (mounted on a fishing rod) around the grounds and took a photo with everyone holding it. i'm convinced he has a picture of every single person at the show. so awesome.

Had a dabble with a spot of street photography today, was a bit cold and reckon I lack the patience to hang around and watch out for good moments, but worthwhile exercise. Intend to try a bit more of the same.

Guys Cliffe House is a stunning ruin of an 18th and 19th century house on the banks of the River Avon in Warwick. The ancient site has caves associated with the legendary Guy of Warwick and medieval chapel founded as an oratory by St Dubritius, and is now owned by The Freemasons.
