I saw this male bear several times while staying in Finland last summer, and every time he made a big impression, especially when appearing from behind a tree; I was extremely glad to be in a secure hide. The guides reckoned he was approximately 450kg, which is 5 times my weight. Individuals have been recorded at a whopping 650kg; the mind boggles. He was a relatively recent visitor to the area, and they thought he was fairly relaxed, but they did not want to meet him in the forest on foot!

Guy Motors was a Wolverhampton-based vehicle manufacturer that produced cars, lorries, buses and trolleybuses. The company was founded by Sydney S. Guy (1885–1971) who was born in Kings Heath, Birmingham. Guy Motors operated out of its Fallings Park factory from 1914 to 1982, playing an important role in the development of the British motor industry.........

As I made my way ever so slowly, taking shots as I went, towards this Acorn Woodpecker I realized it had no intention of going anywhere. With it's fresh young look I'm guessing this 'little guy' may be a new bird on the block...just guessing.
