Guy Fawkes Night, also called as Bonfire Night or Fireworks Night
Its history begins with the events of 5 November 1605, when Guy Fawkes, a member of the Gunpowder Plot, was arrested while guarding explosives the plotters had placed beneath the House of Lords. Celebrating the fact that King James I had survived the attempt on his life, people lit bonfires around London, and months later the introduction of the Observance of 5th November Act enforced an annual public day of thanksgiving for the plot's failure.

This guy came over from Vancouver to wake us up a couple early mornings this summer. He was there at 5:30am on both days spraying for gypsy moths or tent caterpillars. One or the other. Or are they both the same thing?

I know it is deffinately not good quality. This was long before I had my Rebel. I was at the pool one day and saw a really hot guy at the pool. I secretly took his picture, that was when I realized the power of photography. The subject, the shadpw, the contrast between oppsing sides of the shot, all come together to form, a picture.

I have spent 21 years in prison for a murder I did not commit.
I was framed by a paid informant, by a man who was later convicted with falsifying evidence.
There was no evidence. Yet I was convicted.
Another man (Savard) is currently doing 25 yrs
I read this one quite some time ago, 5 years ago, perhaps. I forgot most of the details of the story. Some guy traveling in Peru in a quest for some spiritual truth. I think the story was mildly entertaining, but it is mostly written for the esoterically inclined, which I'm not so much. It was recommended to me by a dear friend who is mildly esoterically inclined ;) She keeps recommending such books to me and I keep reading them, heheh. Well, the point is that with me they can't do much harm and they usually do contain something interesting. This one contains an interesting theory that I have never heard before or since, but that does not strike me as complete BS:
The theory holds that every person belongs to one of four character types. The author calls the types intimidator, interrogator, aloof, and poor me. Moreover, intimidators tend to partner with (e.g. marry) other intimidators or with poor me's, while aloofs pair with interrogators or with other aloofs. Similarly, the children of a person of some type are either the same type or the opposite type (intimidator and poor me are opposite, interrogator and aloof are opposite). According to the author, all these types comprise bad character streaks that people use to 'steal other people's energy' - well, that's obviously one of the more esoteric ways of phrasing it - let's say, that people use to make themselves feel better while getting on other people's nerves:
Intimidator: Tends to threaten or even use violence to intimidate people.
Interrogator: Tends to ask uncomfortable or critical questions, followed by unwanted criticism and/or advice.
Aloof: Tends not to answer questions or gives ambigous answers. Stalls efforts to find solutions or make any progress.
Poor me: Tends to complain, whine about everything. Tries to make other people feel bad about Poor Me's condition and/or situation. Tends to accuse other people that Poor Me's misery is all their fault.
The author is not all negative, either, but advices that one should try to overcome one's character type by first realizing it and then consciously working against it. Or by calling others out on it, like, 'Hey, now you are acting out your interrogator type, trying to steal my energy' or someting along these lines.
The thing is that I do think that most people I know sufficiently well do seem to fall into one of these categories, and they do partner with same or opposite types and their children are of same or opposite type. I have since discussed it with quite a few people, and it does not seem as crazy as one might at first think...

The Doctor and Captain Jack had another of their climbing contests. They were mad because I dragged them down before they'd gotten a winner. It was for their own good. I didn't have any plastics glue on me to fix them if they fell.

The Lost & Found Guy walks about the festival site wearing items that have been found over the course of the weekend. My friend Susan lost an earring sometime Saturday and when L&FG walked up the aisle at mainstage on Sunday, she asked him about it. He responded that yes, someone had found the earring, so she went to the lost and found tent and sure enough, it had been found.
