The joy on this guy's face about his breakfast was almost enough to make me stop in McDonalds and get one for myself, but I had already had my old-person's breakfast (grapefruit and cottage cheese.) Howard Street, Chicago.

Conversion to positive using reverse button in Gimp gives more correct result, but there just is something in this failure to do it manual with the curve tool in NX2 I like...

Yup, I know, I am crazy...

Here's a photo I took of a beautiful guy at Gay Pride in NYC.

This guy was a bit crazy and kept asking us for directions... even though we were clearly lost ourselves!

I take photos to change the world.

If there’s a natural disaster — fire, flood, earthquake, or hurricane — that needs to be documented, maybe I’m the guy you need. (Alas, I’m not sufficiently brave, fearless, or suicidal to take photos in a combat zone — so if you’re looking for a war correspondent, don’t call me.)

But if there’s a human disaster that’s been overlooked — sadness, loneliness, death, homelessness, or a thousand other quiet tragedies, in your neighborhood, or in your own home — maybe I should bring my camera, and capture the scene in a way that brings dignity and respect to everyone. I photograph happy moments, too: the little smile, the grasp of a child’s hand, all those little moments of life that often get overlooked.

I won’t accept any payment for the photographs I take. I won’t even let you pay my travel expenses. I won’t use the photos for any commercial purpose. All I want to do is change the world.

Alas, I can’t take on very many of these projects, because I do still have to work my “day job” to pay the rent and put food on the table. If you have such a project you’d like me to consider, please email me at ed@yourdon.com with “CHANGE THE WORLD” in the subject line.

I'm spending the winter months of 2014-2015 in a warm spot on the beach in Indialantic, FL (if I have Internet access, it doesn't matter too much where I'm physically located).

In addition to my sunrise walks along the beach, I’m also shooting various other afternoon scenes that look interesting — especially during the “golden hour” that extends from roughly an hour before sunset to an hour afterwards. The view in all of these shots is basically eastwards (sometimes northeast or southeast), so the sun is always setting behind me in the west. Thus, I’ll sometimes see some pink skies, or some interesting mixtures of late-afternoon sunlight and blue/purple colors — but not the fiery red/yellow/pink skies that accompany the sunsets in the west ...

These are some of the shots that I thought were somewhat interesting ...

This old guy looks scarred and broken, but in fact he's very well cared for at Monkey World Ape Rescue Centre in Dorset, UK.

There was very low light in his den but the sun shone allowing me to capture his portrait through the glass.

Just wonder what his thoughts might be.

Hello to my 4th grade friends in America...;-)

Abandoned Abused Street Dogs.

Back Story .....................................

You've all heard me mention, "no drama" today on the roads

while traveling out to the monkey temple.

Well to verify why I mention this, yesterday Thailand was awarded

second place for the most dangerous roads in the World !!!

First place went to war torn Libya as the most dangerous roads !

With that being said lets move on to the next topic of conversation.

Mr Apollo passed away Monday night, this is one of the reasons I was busy. Did a private and very personal funeral service for him. He was laid to rest on a special monks robe in a quite spot near the Kind Monks Place. I washed his body with scented oils then placed colorful orchids around him.

Incense sticks were lit, soft chanting took place to help guide his soul towards a better place on his journey .

R.I.P. Mr Apollo .

Arrived at The Dog Palace 10 minutes after 6AM this morning.

Mama and I did our usual greeting before heading into the bingo room where her breakfast was laid out for her.

Actually had to put her food outside and we'll get back to that.

Next we zipped on up to the roof where the new dog and Mama had big fun chasing monkeys and playing with each other .

Next over to The Nuns Place where Rocky, Anna, Tinker Bell and Little Stubby were given their fare share of attention.

Soon Honey and Tuff Guy were also being fed and inspected for any new dings or divots.

Now at this point we are going to back up and talk about a small problem.

An old plastic water line had ruptured in the bingo room and left a 1/2 inch of water on the floor.

Water line has been turned off and extra parts have been purchased for a simple repair tomorrow or the next day.

The way I see it this was a good way to wash the floor without having to carry in buckets of water. Plus I already have an old mop there so it's no big deal ...;-)

Thanks for stopping by and please remember there is only 10 days left to achieve our goal in the gofundme contest .

The Basilica of St. Vitus (Czech Kostel svatého Víta) is one of the major shrines in the city. Founded in 1309, it was taken between 1407 and 1439. The basilica is based on a basilica plan with three vessels, all being representative of the Gothic style.

A slender tower crowned with a polygonal spire, stands at the corner of the west facade. The interior retains some frescoes and houses the tomb of William Rosenberg (Rosenberg in Czech).
