Aerial view from a sea plane of Louisiana's marshlands are full of man made waterways cut into the marsh by oil and gas companies. The wetlands are threatened by the B.P oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico. Migratory birds pass through the wetlands and much of America's seafood comes from the region. The oil which has been leaking since April 20, 2010, may have catastrophic effects on the environment that was already threatened by coastal erosion.
It's a bit odd that the access track that will end up mainly as a cycle track is also a bridle way.

It was a rainy night in Downtown Huntsville. I walked around trying to get a picture to capture the mood and I really liked the lamp posts they have on the side walks!

According to many tourist guides in the summertime it is possible to get over to the island using the services of the local fishermen, they usually charge around €8 per person for the return journey. Just ask for the Island Ferry. Journey time is about five minutes, it's only 500m from Coliemore Harbour to the Island's jetty." However I have read in local newspapers that access services to Dalkey island from Coliemore Harbour ceased in early summer 2011. According to various sources Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council have not been prepared to grant a licence for the provision of such services since then. While access to the island from Coliemore Harbour has been a feature of life in Dalkey for many generations, the future of this traditional service is now in doubt.
Colimore harbour used to be the main port for Dublin between the 14th & 17th centuries during times when the river Liffey silted up.

Guided tours for grades K-12
Available: November 7, 2012 - February 8, 2013
Guided tours last 60 minutes for K-12 school groups. On their tour, students will discuss works in the "Collecting Matisse and Modern Masters", "Time Capsule, Age 13 to 21: The Contemporary Art Collection of Jason Rubell", and "Mark Bradford" exhibitions. Guided tours engage students in discussions about the artwork on view while encouraging critical thinking and the development of higher-order processing skills.
