Dr. Earl S. Richardson guided with wisdom, strength, and vision from 1984 until his presidency ended in 2010. Over the course of his 25-year presidency, he ushered in what came to be known as Morgan’s Renaissance—a period of tremendous growth, renewal, and national recognition for our University. His leadership elevated Morgan to the status of a doctoral research institution, expanded academic programs, strengthened faculty excellence, and transformed the campus with more than half a billion dollars in new and renovated facilities.
Under his stewardship, Morgan’s enrollment grew significantly, the qualifications of incoming students rose, and our graduates went on to excel across every field of endeavor. Dr. Richardson’s commitment to excellence and his ability to inspire confidence restored faith in the University at a time when its future was uncertain. He leaves behind a legacy of perseverance, innovation, and an unshakable belief in the transformative power of education.
Dr. Richardson will forever be remembered as a towering figure in Morgan’s history—an exceptional leader whose life’s work profoundly shaped this institution and enriched the lives of countless students, faculty, alumni, and friends of the University.

Johnny was our lead guide. He scouted for danger and brought us to the safest routes down.
Typically, he would ski down and say to ski just to the right (or left) of his track only. This would keep you in the safest zone and preserve some powder for future back country skiers.

Our guide observed that Sambar are not half as alert or fleet-footed as Chital - and that this, along with their larger size makes them the preferred choice of venison on the tiger's menu. The incident with the distracted sambar stag indcated that he's probably right.
Jim, my guide from Eaton Outfitters. A retired biology teacher turned summer fishing guide, he was able to provide a lot of interesting facts about the area, especially identifying birds and other wildlife that we encountered. Great guy; provided a lot of fishing pointers and lots of friendly conversation.
This is one of my first major drawings that I've actually worked on. It is of some kind of imaginative lighthouse from a distant past. I had no plan for it - I just started drawing and let my imaginaaaation flow...
Tell me how you think of it. I think drawing lighthouses are fun to draw and I'll try to do some more.
Other than that i've GOT to take more pictures and it'll help to purchase a camera for myself.
So that's what i've been doing for a while and have taken no pictures. Hey, its still summer.
