Nova in an unusual position, being a grouchy old man. I have never seen him sit this way before and I laughed so hard at the look on his face when I asked him what he was doing.
A picture of my girlfriends with loads of my pictures on a wall in the background. Converted to B&W and added radial blur around her face on photoshop.
There is always something new to slap you upside the head. I think that is why I find photography so challenging. Not only do you need to know how all of your gear works, from aperture to flash, but knowing how to get your subject to cooperate can be a long uphill pull.
For instance, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make a grandchild fake a happy smile. It's easy to get grownups to smile. Just tell them you're posting their photo on the internet. Great blackmail. But you can't make a cat a willing model for a portrait, even if you put catnip in a toy mouse. They LIKE their grumpy pictures on the internet.

There was a bunch of sleepy pukifee... except for one, who had raided the pantry again and was way too preoccupied for sleep.
Grumpy Bear Lives! Taken about a year ago at Mont Tremblant, this photo is the one used in my profile pic. The smile says I just may enjoy being grumpy (a little). The ears are courtesy of a goofy hat from my friend Atousa.
