George wasn't actually grumpy but that's how he looks in this. It was the start of his birthday and he nobly helped me empty 20 bags of grass cuttings at Loughborough Recycling Site. Things improved. Leicester City FC won its game that day and secured top of Champions' League, as well as promotion to the Premier League. #48 of 114 of 2014, Grumpy. George's alter ego is a bear.

This is the girl's grumpy looking dad. He's actually a nice guy. They kept talking to me, but unfortunately I didn't understand the language. He then played music with this instrument called Dombra for me. I was quite amused.

is a Banded Gila monster (Heloderma suspectum cinctum), one of two species of lizards that are venomous (out of 3800 species of lizards in the world). Gila monsters and Beaded lizards are native to the Southwestern United States and Northern Mexico. Sorry about the harsh light, but I thought the detail and expression were worth sharing. . I went to Cambo today, obstensibly to photograph snowdrops, (they have the best collection in Scotland.) However, I have come back with dozens of pictures of totally out of focus gorgeous piglets.
Anyway, these little snowdrops caught my eye. They are called grumpy (Galanthus elweseii 'Grumpy', to be precise) - because of their great markings.

This morning has been filled with tears and a very grumpy boy. The dogs have also been Crazy. A Cyclone is brewing off the coast here so im blaming weather for all bad behaviour!
