On August 23rd 2008 the Seattle Monorail broke down (again). My Mom and I happened to be downtown a few blocks away, so we walked over to get shots of the action. I believe there are 65 photos altogether. It also includes some candids because there were lots of interesting people around to get pictures of. Will add more detailed individual photo descriptions later.

The sign reads:

Cat: Let's get 'em!
Or at least, I think he looks grumpy. I had interrupted his feeding at my bird feeders, so he watched me from a high branch until I went back in the house and then continued gulping down more than his share (starlings are sooo greedy)!
A very grumpy girl in Navajo (I think) costume. Digital markers (they are as akward as the real thing!)

The story here is that I had some time at 30th Street Station in Philly so I decided to go to au pan pain to get a yummy salad for lunch. A few of the employees went out of their way to make me a fresh salad and the service and food was excellent.
After I finished eating I went back in to see if they would let me take some photos to post along with a story about the service. An employee pointed me at a manager who said it would be fine to shoot. While I was snapping some shots this gentleman got very irritated and asked what I was doing. I told my story of the excellent service and that I wanted to share my experience with others. He hastily agreed to let me take the photos and this was the face I got.
