Walking out of an alleyway.

St Martin's at Desford is a rather restored church, but not as much as the exterior suggests. It's plastered interior is lighter than expected too, thanks to the plastered finish, large east windows and only one piece of stained glass (by Mayer of Munich in the south aisle, quite a colourful piece).

In the chancel is an empty tomb recess, plain sedilia and an intriguing wall tablet in black stone designed to resemble an open book with a rather grumpy cherub underneath.

The church is normally locked outside services.

Sophie, the worlds grumpiest cat.

I was practising with my new lens on various things around the house including the cats, I went upstairs to where Sophie was to take a few of her and this was the reaction I got.

James had his 6 week birthday picnic with Aunty Jean, which he enjoyed. When we got home I remembered to do his milestone picture, but he was tired and grumpy. Oh well, at least it is a true representation, as babies are not always happy.

This is Grumpy.

Grumpy is a robot build with Lego Power Functions. He can pick things up and drop them where they belong. To give him a little personality, he can shake his had and raise his eyebrows.

All functions are done with only four motors.

The Gringotts goblin assigned to the money exchange office never seems to have a smile on his face. But frankly, if you had to deal with muggles all day, you'd be grumpy, too.

Mr ED gave me a book. A book called Grumpy Old Women! Do you think he's trying to tell me something?!?

I didn't have much in the way of natural light and the colours look odd in comparison to the actual book, but I like it. I wanted to get out and about with my new camera today but the sky has been virtually solid grey all day and it's rained so I've stayed indoors mostly. Got myself a photography magazine which I'm off to read while curled up under the covers.

This is Spike the bearded dragon. We've had him for about 6 years now. I have no idea how long he's going to live. Sometimes he sleeps so sound, we think he's dead. But he always wakes up.
