My grumpy dachshund who doesn't like the covers pulled away (in my bed by the way) and a camera flash in the face.
Because Grumpy has a brown hat. However, this dwarf's expression is very grumpy-like.

Setok (in the armchair) interviewing demoscene legends Truck and Britelite for a sketch-like "talk show" titled Grumpy Old Men. They talked about how they hate modern computers, games and pretty much everything, and how even dirt tasted better in their childhood.

It means being in a slightly angry mood because you are annoyed at something, it also means easily annoyed and complaining, that they are bad-tempered and miserable.

Who says so! Well me for a start as I'm her Dad but her elder sister Katie obviously thinks so too as it was her that gave her this outfit on Christmas Day. No prizes for guessing what is written on the back of the shorts.

What makes Bluebirds look grumpy is the little tuft of feathers over the front of the eye that makes them look like they are scowling - that, and the fact that they are usually pissed off about something. This guy brought the flock in for some mealworms this morning and got pretty unhappy whenever any other birds came near the feeder. People that think Bluebirds are timid have never seen this guy in action. He has no problem going after the Red-bellied Woodpeckers - Even the Blue Jays won't do that!
I was cleaning the shed for the winter and the Bluebirds figured that there must be a few dried mealworms in there somewhere. A little pestering paid off for them.

Sophie, the worlds grumpiest cat.
I was practising with my new lens on various things around the house including the cats, I went upstairs to where Sophie was to take a few of her and this was the reaction I got.
