Carrie Graham of Vancouver is heading down from the Peak of Grouse Mt. to the finish line.
Seek the Peak: 16 km run up to an elevation of 4,100 ft: from Ambleside Beach up Capilano to the base of Grouse Mt., up the Grouse Grind and up the peak of Grouse Mt. A short run downhill to the Peak Chalet and you're done.
4-peat winner and course-record holder Colin Dignum, the first to reach the base of the Peak run at Grouse Mt. on Sunday, July 5th.

Stewart and I completed the Grouse Grind for the first time today!!!
I finished in 1 hour and 58 minutes, Stewart in just 58 minutes! I hated the first 1/4 but I was kinda enjoying myself by the last 1/4. The end came up fast and Stewart was so surprised to see me so fast it was hilarious!
I could not decide between the action photo I got of myself going up The Grind or the great photo I got of this little guy that was waiting for me at the top so I made a diptych.
At the very top of the grouse grind, time: 1hour 13 minutes (we could have done it in atleast 1 hour but there was a lot of traffic on the way up, and also chad wanted to puke as a result of eating a fatty breakfast)
Screen shows purchase of Multiple Tickets (2) at $7.50 each for seniors (poor people on fixed incomes) Yes!

While we were on the Grouse Grind, we saw an old man of 80 years trekking up the treacherous climb with a sign on his back reading "Pakistan Floods Fundraising".
He actually passed us a couple of times! (I blame my heavy camera. hehe)

It's nice to emphasize it, but you must be a committed smoker to be attempting to light up on the Grind.

The Grouse Grind Trail up Grouse Mountain.
The trail begins just east (right) of the Grouse Mountain Gondola in an area with posts set up for hikers to use for stretching their arms and legs before the hike.

It's the SeaBus from Vancouver to Lonsdale and up Grouse Mountain.
