Had to bring the clones out for the group portrait, as no-one else was available. It didn't go well.

Antique sepia-toned group portrait of young Hungarian schoolgirls with their teacher, taken outdoors in the 1930s.

There were four, but one was too shy to sit with these three handsome young men. I was checking out one of our local gardens and came across the men sitting on a nearby bench, watching the ocean water and enjoying the early evening.

I asked if they would like their photo taken and they were happy to oblige. Maybe they will check Flickr for it as I explained I would like to upload it to the website. They were fine with that.

No need for editing, straight from camera, they looked just great as they were. Got a favourite?

Fun shot.. and I find it really funny.. :D.. pose gone for a toss.. both the guys on the side.. squeezed the center guy ... I love his expressions... ha ha.. They also cracked laughter after seeing this one..

Can you notice their school bags in the background? he he.. :)

Not her ancestry, though. Picture was taken in the museum of The Lapua Cartridge Factory; people sitting behind her are factory workers from the past.

These lovely people were intrigued by my camera on a 3.5metre pole and asked to be photographed.I took just one shot without re-arranging them....PERFECT.

Back in October, we at The Film Photography Podcast had a fantastic day touring downtown Ann Arbor in our 2015 Fall Meetup! We were greeted by a bunch of new and familiar faces, united by our love of film. In the afternoon portion of the event, we were granted access to the Argus Museum which included a sweet snack spread, and lots of Mr. Brown!

I don't know about you but the gentleman in the middle looks like he is terrified that he will get thrown about by the successful Judoka? A fine collection of the successful members of a Judo Club in Donegal with their certificates and hopefully their new belts.

My mum & dad finally made it to the top of the hill..... Worth a pic!

My parents came to stay with us in Wales for one night. As we had to take the dogs out for a walk, they both decided to join us for the walk to "the top of the hill".

Im sure the hot coffee, bacon butty & a wedge of cake on our return to the cottage made it a worth while trip!

I had no idea how totally and completely immature giraffes could be. All i wanted was a simple group portrait. Nothing fancy. Just stand together and smile. And try not to drool. (2nd from right was a drooler) Or make obscene babboon and camel jokes. Or pee on each other's hooves. Or swat each other with their tails...

Father, brothers and grandson - from 'The Marriage Series'

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas from the Fotodiox team! We hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!

This is a picture of my maternal great grandmother (front row) Mary Harrington Jones as a young woman. The original is a tintype (also known as melainotype or ferrotype). The quality is remarkable and I simply used PSE14 to clear up some age related spots and defects. She became the wife of Preston King Jones, who is seen in several other images I posted. This picture was probably taken in Sycamore Illinois in the late 1860's.

Four the last 10 years, with the obvious exception, Cantigny hosts "Breakfast with Santa." And, as a volunteer, I do the photography. It's been a pleasure working with Santa and getting to know him.

This is my favorite volunteer gig at Cantigny. Always gets me in the Christmas Spirit.

This is my second (No.2) submission to The Human Family group. Find out more about the project and see pictures taken by other photographers at www.flickr.com/groups/thehumanfamily.

I did make individual portraits of these two girlfriends and their third friend, Tex, who was sitting to the right (but not in this photo) and sharing the bench. You can find them in my 100 Strangers album st as Nos. 65-67 (www.flickr.com/photos/55973292@N03/albums/72157651447401062).

I had approached them initially, because while they were testing out and finding their corn to be too hot to eat, their expressions were too good to pass up. They exhibited a camaraderie that touched me.

Believe it or not, while this is a candid image, it was taken with explicit and implicit permission after I met and photographed them already. This was Shirley's favorite photo from the ones I made and shared. She liked seeing her friend anticipating a bite of the warm corn. She wanted to upload it to her phone's slideshow immediately. It is quite beautiful to me that Shirley derived pleasure seeing a picture of her friend enjoying this experience. The older I get, the more I see small things unfolding before me and consider them big. Like Shirley, I really, really like this portrait.

Carolyn on the left is originally from Arkansas; Shirley on the right is a gal from the Black Hills of South Dakota. They are both in their 80s. They share a warm friendship, a love of roasted corn, the opportunity of people watching, and exploring life in New Mexico.

I've had quite a streak lately, picking out strangers to meet and learning they are in their 80s. Sometimes I'm surprised, and sometimes I'm not, but always I'm amazed. I hope to reach their age bracket fit as a fiddle, active and completely present of mind so I can seek pleasure around a city without assistance.

Anyone tuned in enough to find their way to a hip community pop up market is probably going to be amenable to being a participant in The Human Family project, so next time you go to one of those, don't be afraid to do some asks and enjoy some beautiful encounters.
