Two things that drifts your attention are the different Santali dances and Baul songs here and there. It creates the atmosphere magical. Apart from these of course, you can shop local inexpensive yet marvelous items.
An open-air market or 'haat' that is held every Saturday where many local artisans and small traders come to sell beautiful handicrafts and accessories that is sure to steal the hearts of the fortunate visitors

Celebrating conservation success on the Narmada River - with no funding going directly to villagers they have taken it upon themselves, with help from a few local NGOs and district government to plant several million trees in attempt to restore the heavy degraded floodplain. A lot to celebrate!
