Frannie was a year behind me in High School. She was so cute and vivacious. She still is...
It's wonderful that we are still friends...

ODC Group, saved my bacon today this topic. Just a quick walk round the field to ask my woolly friends to pose for me and a quick bit of play in the processing, probably overdone it but I liked the result.

Taken at the Cincinnati Beard Barons' Car Show held at the Frisch's Big Boy Mainliner restaurant in the Fairfax suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio.
These guys are all members of the Cincinnati Beard Baron's which was the sponsoring group behind an annual car show and beard contest for charity. I think that sometimes when you have a beard and are posing for pictures, you tend to cop a mean or serious look. I know I did when I had a long beard some years ago. However, in talking to these guys, I found them to be a fun and friendly bunch.
In the past, they held the event in the evening which made finding a shady area and decent background pretty easy. This time the show started at 10 am on a sunny day. I had to take them around the back of the restaurant to find any shade that might work as a background, but I'm not overly pleased with it. They are having a big beard contest soon which I hope to attend and will try to do better there.

Arizona Ballet Theatre dancers united in the love of dance and the joy of performing together.
Post performance unplanned final onstage photo Op after Sunday's matinee.
The lighting was harsh onstage lighting from above which is not flattering to the dancers in this post-performance group portrait. I was lucky to get this shot of Miss Cecily and the dancers who were still on the stage with the curtain closed behind them. Everyone else had left the stage and headed to the dressing room.

I went to a festival at historic New Harmony in Indiana, today. This is one of the better photos that I took there. The guy is the Grandpa. You can find portraits of the young girls that I took a couple of years ago in my albums. I mostly bought weird looking gourds to photograph. Hopefully, you'll see those photos later. I still have to make those photos, in the first place. Peace! I'd still rather have Peace!

Show your favorite Ever After High Dolls! Minimum 2, maximum 12 dolls. Put them against a wall, go outside, or build a diorama. Have fun and show off your darlings together! :-)
If you see this and like to play, consider yourself tagged and feel free to play along!
Months ago I was tagged for the tag game “A Poppy for Every Season”. I owned no Poppys at that time, but I had an idea. This is the result.
This is my complete Ever After High collection. I'm not planning to add to it, but there are some new and very cute Wonderland dolls around. We'll see. I will introduce all these characters more in depth at a later date.
I will start a gallery with this theme. If you want your picture included, tag me. When I like your picture, I will add it to the gallery. You might see this as a secondary challenge. :-)
Tag me anyway. I'd love to see what you come up with. :-)
Most importantly: Have fun! :-)

Timbuktu has a rich mix of cultures and peoples. The primary ethnic groups are the Songhai and Tuareg, but the Bellah (descendents of slaves) and Arabs are important minorities. Children in Timbuktu grow up speaking three or four languages.

The Veteran Hub is the first open space in Ukraine specifically dedicated to war veterans and NGOs dealing with veteran affairs. Since October '20, a mobile offices of Veteran Hub have been operating to provide support to veterans who cannot go to a city from rural areas and have limited access to services. Mobile office team comprising a lawyer, a psychologist, and a career manager visit veterans at home and deliver respective services.
Upon the launch I was invited to make few pics of the mobile office vehicle and portrait of the team.
Here I used light office walls and mix of continuous light (led stick) and strobe (flash) at 1/50 exposure

Carl Heinrich Bloch (May 23, 1834 - February 22, 1890) was a Danish painter. He was born in Copenhagen and studied with Wilhelm Marstrand at the Royal Danish Academy of Art (Det Kongelige Danske Kunstakademi) there. His early work featured rural scenes from everyday life. From 1859 to 1866, Bloch lived in Italy, and this period was important for the development of his historical style.
His first great success was the exhibition of his "Prometheus Unbound" in Copenhagen in 1865. After the death of Marstrand, he finished the decoration of the ceremonial hall at the University of Copenhagen.
He was then commissioned to produce 23 paintings for the Chapel at Frederiksborg Palace. These were all scenes from the life of Christ which have become very popular as illustrations. The originals, painted between 1865 and 1879, are still at Frederiksborg Palace.
Bloch died in Copenhagen at the age of 63.

The Broadway star William Gillette playing Sherlock Holmes, has invited his fellow cast-members for a weekend of revelry. But when one of the guests is stabbed to death, the festivities in this isolated house of tricks and mirrors quickly turn dangerous. The danger and hilarity are non-stop in this glittering whodunit set during the Christmas holidays.
