Dried grasshoppers come in a variety of sizes and flavors. The more recently dried ones can be eaten as a snack. I preferred them cooked in a quesadilla. This is only one stand of at least a dozen or two that sells grasshoppers. How do they catch them all?
There are 11,000 thousand known species of grasshopper on Earth, that live in grassy areas such as fields and meadows and forest and woodland. Like all insects, all species of grasshopper have a three-part body that is made up of the grasshopper's head, it's thorax and the abdomen. A grasshopper I found in the hotel garden while waiting for the taxi to go to Balangan Beach. I got the camera settings right and some of the detail is wonderful, just wish I could acomplish it by skill instead of taking lots of pics!
Llegó a nuestra casa, le hice unas fotos y lo dejamos marchar. Suerte amigo.
The grasshopper came to our house I took some pictures and we let it go. Good luck my friend.

If nothing else had happened this summer, the daily presence of grasshopper sparrows would have been joy enough for me.
Interesting-looking grasshopper standing on a spider web that was present in the front of the house.
The grasshopper drone is an unpiloted forward attack bug. It leaps across the front lines, fires a couple of plasma bursts at the enemy, and then leaps back. Can be either remotely controlled, or pre-programmed. Unlike a real grasshopper, this drone is incapable of sustained flight - it just jumps really high.
