Graphite. I forgot the door!! It was two in the morning, after slaving over this all night, and after taking a break and returning, I noticed the photograph and drawing were a 'bit' different. Yup! No door!! Oh no!!!!!! I had to redo the entire piece in just a few hours and that was one loooong night of drawing!! Enjoy the laughs!!
This was where the term 'persistence of vision' was probably coined :)

This is a pencil sketch that I did as a study for a children's book illustration job that I am working on. I love the asymmetrical-ness of it. It makes me think of the quirky habits of little boys. Its a universal phenomenon!

The brass tubing is not only an artistic detail but, functional too. This Rostock printer was made taller and to accomodate the new 10" of printing height the carbon tubes needed to be longer. OH NO! I don't have anymore tubing. So, insert brass tubing and make look interesting. Wahla, additional artistic flair and character. ;-)
