I have long been an admirer of the work of Carl b. Graf and recently realised that there is not much information on his work online. So I thought I would put a set together as the start of a small archive of his work.

The Graf Zeppelin flew in the late 1920's and was taken out of service after the Hindenberg exploded. It could fly 70-80 miles per hour and carried passengers and mail. This US stamp was one of three that commemorated the Graf Zeppelin. The $2.60 stamp was the cost of a trans-Atlantic delivery which took about 10 days.

James Clancy (b: December 18, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois) is a former starting pitcher in MLB who played for the Toronto Blue Jays (1977–88), Houston Astros (1989–91) and Atlanta Braves (1991).

In 1978, Clancy spent his first full season with the Blue Jays, earning a 10-12 record with a 4.09 ERA in 31 games. He had an injury plagued season in 1979, where he had a 2-7 record and a 5.51 ERA in 12 games.

Clancy had a very solid season in 1980, as he had a 13-16 record with a 3.30 ERA and 15 complete games, before struggling in the 1981 season, as Clancy had a 6-12 record with a 4.90 ERA.

Clancy struggled in 1984, as he had a losing record for the first time in three seasons, with a 13-15 record, and a 4.64 ERA in a league high 36 starts. He led the league in earned runs allowed with 125. The 1985 season would be injury plagued, however, Clancy pitched effectively, earning a 9-6 record and a 3.78 ERA as Toronto made the post-season for the first time in team history. The injured Clancy pitched in only one inning in the 1985 ALCS as Toronto lost to the Kansas City Royals in seven games.

Clancy spent his final season with Toronto in 1988, where he struggled with a record of 11-13 and a 4.49 ERA, as the Jays once again missed the playoffs.

Stefanie Maria Graf shown here in a Boise, Idaho event was born June 14, 1969, in Mannheim, Baden-Württemberg, West Germany and is the former World No. 1 tennis player.

In all, Graf won 22 Grand Slam singles titles thats second among male and female players only to Margaret Court's 24. In 1988, she became the first and only tennis player (male or female) to achieve the Calendar Year Golden Slam by winning all four Grand Slam singles titles and the Olympic gold medal in the same calendar year. She is the last player, male or female, to win all four Grand Slams in a calendar year.

Graf was ranked World No. 1 by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) for a record 377 total weeks—the longest period for which any player, male or female, has held the number one ranking since the WTA and the Association of Tennis Professionals began issuing rankings. She also holds the open era record for finishing as the year-end World No. 1 the most times, having done so on eight occasions.[2] She won 107 singles titles, which ranks her third on the WTA's all-time list after Martina Navratilova (167 titles) and Chris Evert (154 titles).

Graf's could play on all surfaces winning six French Open singles titles (second to Evert) and seven Wimbledon singles titles (third behind Navratilova and Helen Wills Moody). She is the only singles player to have achieved a Calendar Year Grand Slam while playing on all three major types of tennis courts (grass courts, clay courts and hard courts), as the Calendar Year Grand Slams won by other players before her occurred when the Australian and US Opens were still played on grass. Graf reached thirteen consecutive Grand Slam singles finals, from the 1987 French Open through to the 1990 French Open, winning nine of them. She played in 36 Grand Slam singles tournaments from the 1987 French Open, her first Grand Slam win, through the 1999 French Open, her last Grand Slam win, reaching the finals 29 times and winning 22 titles. She reached a total of 31 Grand Slam singles finals, third overall behind Evert (34 finals) and Navratilova (32 finals).[citation needed]

Graf is considered by some to be the greatest female player. Billie Jean King said in 1999, "Steffi is definitely the greatest women's tennis player of all time."[3] Martina Navratilova has included Graf on her list of great players.[4] In December 1999, Graf was named the greatest female tennis player of the 20th century by a panel of experts assembled by the Associated Press.[5] Tennis writer Steve Flink, in his book The Greatest Tennis Matches of the Twentieth Century, named her as the best female player of the 20th century.[6]

Graf retired in 1999 while she was ranked World No. 3. She married former World No. 1 men's tennis player Andre Agassi in October 2001 and they have two children, Jaden Gil and Jaz Elle.

SGT Zachary Graf caught the hog of a bass in Pond 28, early August 2015. She weighed 15.4lbs!!!!! SGT Graf did not get a length measurement at the time, but said she was over 28 inches long!!! Great catch SGT Graf!!!!!

This was a pleasant surprise: parked outside the office, a tour bus belonging to Anton Graf GmbH. When I worked in Germany, Graf had the "lunch bus" contract, taking hungry workers from the Bessemerstrasse branch office to the company's main site at Thurn-und-Taxis-Strasse.
