After doing the stencil on the vinyl I felt it would look more effective on a larger scale so repainted it on a canvas. I kept the gradient in the background as I found it amusing due to the fact she had nearly burnt my flat down the previous day in a chip pan incident.

Yarn: my gradient handspun from Opulent Fibers merino/silk
Needles: US 5 - 3.75 mm
Hmm, perhaps a last minute shot, yet again, but at least it gives the impression of some thought being put into it. Arguably the way the light fell into different sections on the stone flooring in the hallway did catch my eye, so what more can I ask for.
Today marks the final couple of days until the house purchase is completed and, as of Thursday, we’ll have joined the ranks of three bed semi owners. Not too bad for a first property, although without Cat it would simply never have happened (perhaps a pokey shoe box in the outskirts of Birmingham would be within my price range).
Therefore all will be getting pretty busy soon, and so things like running before work become more important to retain an element of sanity. I’d forgotten over the dark, cold winter months quite how much regular exercise does for my general mood.
This is what the ceiling in my room looks like when my window shutters are closed and there is a truck with a flat white top surface parked in front of the house reflecting the bright sun light.
