I got a bit over excited yesterday when at least 6 Crossbills landed in my birch trees, they left and came back 3 times but the light was very poor unfortunately. This is the third time in my entire time here since 1997 that I've had them in my garden. I also badly filmed them for a few minutes and caught their lovely call.
I used to brick arms ammo chain clips and cemented them into place with green stuff. Tell me what you think.

Scratch my ass, and I'll scratch yours. This is Cowboy my donkey who was born on Mother's Day 20 years ago. He loves to have his ears and ass scratched and if he doesn't get scratched he'll bunt you in the balls. I should have named him after Eeyore on Winnie the Pooh because of his sad bray (unlike his mother's harsh cry) as well as his sometimes gloomy attitude but I thought Cowboy would toughen him up to keep the coyotes at bay. Donkeys have powerful front and back feet that can strike out at a predator if needed.

A difficult shot to take as my tripod was not high enough to peek above the fence line. Camera was hand held on top of the metal fence with fingers under to level the shot and fingers pressing down on top to hold things still. Lens resting on fence top. Sydney was suffering from bush fire smoke haze, which allowed beams of light to appear. The Vivid festival is an annual Sydney event.
I brought my granddaughter to Bird Kingdom, Niagara Falls. Her highlight was seeing a pheasant have a poop!
