An 8 week old Archie here enjoying some 'catch the string' play. Shot in low light at a high ISO and despite the focus not being perfect, the pose just brings such a smile to my face that I have to share the shot! He is now almost 11 weeks old and has grown so much. I'll have to do another photo-shoot with my wee ball of fluff soon. Enjoy your weekend my friends!

Yellow Flesh Fly (Sarcophaga bidentata)
I have been seeing quite a few Grey Flesh Flies but not many Yellow. This one paused just long enough to get a shot.

Found a peanut...found a peanut, I love to see how hard the birds, and squirrels and chipmunks work to get the peanuts. They love the peanut wheel.
I captured this brilliantly colored Cattle Egret in its breeding plumage and was fortunate to get in for a closeup shot. Such colors on this beautiful bird!

I have to admit to lots of moving the sliders backwards and forwards in Lightroom until I finally got the shadows as visible as they are in the picture!

Enjoying myself taking pics of this handsome White Throated Kingfisher for days on end. Gave me a opportunity to improve my technique for inflight shots. Here is a series of the WTKF in flight.

Retiring and watching a part of me fade away. Watching what has made me into an adult fade away. Looking at myself saying that chapter is over, but hopeful for the next chapter. We've got this.

A black-crowned night heron with its catch at the local ponds. ✔️
Night herons stand still at the water's edge and wait to ambush prey. This fellow stood there for about 10 minutes testing my patience. Eventually, both of us got rewarded.
