I really like my new cycle route to work. about three quarters of it is traffic-free, along the Bristol/Bath Railway path and through Easton Park and across Colston Weir. I also really like the tools I recently discovered at topocoding.com/ for making cross sections. Can you guess which sections of my ride I enjoy the most?
A birds eye view of our hike in this area recently. We start at the Black Prince parking area near the south end of the Smith-Dorrien highway. About 8 Km out and back with about 500 M elevation gain.
Found this shot among the street views of directions I requested on Google Maps. I'm not sure whether to be more concerned about the lane I'm supposed to be in, the fact that I'm supposed to hop the median strip, or that the turn will take me into the trees beyond the ramp.
Just goes to show -- you need to be a critical consumer of information on the Internet!
Now, where did I put my crash helmet???

Foto do GoogleMaps da região que eu moro, com notas.
GoogleMaps picture of the area where I live, with notes.
my life on a map. The width of the map is about 5km.
First, La Chaux-de-Fonds, the city where I was born and grew up. I used to work at home for the last months at school.
Next, Lausanne where I started working for the web. I used to go to work on foot.
Finally Paris, the subway is my daily pain.
