Starting at the Lake Louise parking lot, we headed southwest and then to a junction where the choice was to go up Fairview Mountain or a lesser climb to Saddleback Peak. We chose the latter and were rewarded with an excellent view of the Paradise Valley that leads to Sentinel Pass. It is a path we have walked in the past.
