A bird's eye view of our path today. Starting at the Lake Louise parking lot, we headed southwest and then to a junction where the choice was to go up Fairview Mountain or a lesser climb to Saddleback Peak. We chose the latter and were rewarded with an excellent view of the Paradise Valley that leads to Sentinel Pass. It is a path we have walked in the past.

I've been playing with Google maps and am finding it one of the coolest things since Flickr. This is a photo of the result of taking a 2D map and applying it to a 3D terrain map on Google Earth -- it's actually the first time I've ever done this. http://www.thecell.com/googleearth/AlumRockParkMap.kmz contains the file and necessary HTTP link to the map's image to play around with.
This is from gvisit.com. They use google maps to track the latest visitors to your site.
I'm thinking google has florida a little off...
When I say I live in a swamp, I really do mean it. If you walk straight back behind my house you will never come out alive, a snake will bite you or an alligator will eat you. It would make a nice flickr walk and photo shoot. Move cursor over the photo to see notes.
