another underwater shot taken without a mask.... squinting at the viewfinder trying to see the shot was a challenge :-)
I just noticed an optical illusion with this photo where your eyes keep trying to focus the image and it looks like it's shrinking.
first image is mine
the rest are Google lens
It matched one of my own images
From 10 years ago
which probably means I have made no progress
Full Moon, not a 'supermoon' , but still cool.

Few interesting facts Google told me....
Where are people moving to Sacramento from?
•Across the nation, 3% of homebuyers searched to move into Sacramento from outside metros. San Francisco homebuyers searched to move into Sacramento more than any other metro followed by Fresno and Houston.
•To date, nearly 14,000 families have moved to the Sacramento area from the San Francisco/Bay area.
Where are people from Sacramento moving to?
•63% of Sacramento homebuyers searched to stay within the Sacramento metropolitan area. Boise was the most popular destination among Sacramento homebuyers followed by Dallas and Portland.
The average cost of a house (4 bedroom/2.5 bath; 1678 s/f) is listing for selling for $530,000 in what is considered one of the “better” neighborhoods (low crime rate and above average school rating). Which puts the monthly payments around $3500 + per month.
I have been saying for years now, If I had to buy a house now, I would never be able to be a homeowner. Living in an apartment is just as outpriced as well. Average 2 bedroom apartment is running about $2200 per month. And our gas prices are just as crazy, averaging $4.50 for regular unleaded.
In Lincoln, CA where this photo was taken is just outside of Sacramento in the adjoining county. The housing market for the same size house is about 50-75K more.
My hope is things will get better.
I was checking my old photos on my Google Photos yesterday and saw this image in my "For You" folder. Typically, Google Assistant would scan your folders and decide on which one to work on. When it 's done, she would deposit her edit into that folder. Apparently, she has decided on this particular frame that I took a few years ago, and I didn't realize the Assistant edited image has been sitting in that folder since then. So here it is. It looks a little fake, doesn't it? Seems like my photography has taken another turn where AI is making things happen to me.

WHV124 BV66VJP in all over Google advert seen at Putney Bridge working on route 22 towards Oxford Circus.
Looks like another set of adverts this time Google advertises its search engine here depicting "where do the unicorns live".
I noted this at first on the 74 but didn't had a proper check until that morning.
A recent purchase, the model was in rough shape. All of the valve gear needed work, many parts needed to be re-soldered. Made by Akane Models on March 11, 1963. Distributed in the USA by Gem Models. I still have some minor details for fix, like the coupler bar on the pilot and a loose step that I missed the first time around.

I'll be posting last years pics daily for a while, sort of a second string of fall 2015.
Once the signs of fall arrive here in the Niagara region I'll be posting nice fresh fall photos.

I would not be able to identify this lake if it wasn't for the GPS coordinates on my phone. What started out as a day trip from Queens, NYC to Storm King Art Center, turned into a zig-zagging tour of the New York State countryside, with long detours on small NYS roads (#301, in this case.) Luckily, I was able to pull off the road here at Canopa Lake in Clarence Fahnestock Memorial State Park. -- November 4, 2018
The Waikato River, New Zealand's longest river, moves gracefully north from Lake Taupo between banks 100 metres apart. Just before the Huka Falls it enters a shallow ravine of hard volcanic rock. The effect is nature's large-scale equivalent of a fire hose feeding into a very fine nozzle.
The previously placid waters roar and rumble at great speed along the ravine before bursting into space out over Huka Falls to crash into the turbulent pool 11 metres below. This shot was taken from a foot bridge at the top of the falls, a prime position to get up close and witness the frightening display of more than 220,000 litres of water blasting by every second. (Source: www,newzealand.com)
I would have added this shot to the location map, but it shows no sign of the Falls, or Huka Falls Road, whereas Google Maps clearly shows both; ah well, never mind, does anybody (apart from me) ever look at these things anyway.
