Taken at the night before last of 2025 at the market square; beside the illuminated Christmas tree there was still an installation remnant of the meanwhile dismantled Christmas market (blue LED lights on the right hand side). In the background there's the main Lutheran church (Evangelische Stadtkirche) that I thought might look well in Pentax bokeh 😄
2025 is leaving on a very freezing note here, so I only took some quick images before heading home to get warm again ; ))

Hoping that 2023 brings some stability and peace to the world. This photo of a polar bear (Ursus maritimus) taken in Svalbard in May during one of my photographic highlights of the year.
The former Eastland Mall in Harper Woods, MI (annexed suburb of Detroit), being demolished to make way for new businesses. Rumour has it that Amazon might be taking over. Whatever the case is, I hope something good comes out of this! Still miss this mall, tho. I’ve spent many seasons here from childhood to college! I’ve got some stories to tell about this place

Hey everyone!! So, I'm not the best at writing and expressing how I'm feeling over text, so this may be short and boring lol!
I've decided over these last few months, after going back and forth about it with my closest friends, that it's time for me to retire as a blogger. With work being crazy and everything, I've started exploring some RL hobbies.
I started blogging over 4 years ago with the intention of being able to express myself and meet new friends. At the time, it was just my bestie of 10 years Melanie and I. I can honestly say that I've met some of my BEST friends because of blogging. I don't regret anything about the time or money I've spent blogging simply because of that.
To Melanie - Thank you so much, you've always been by my side since forever, and I fucking love you for that. Thanks for being the ear I used to complain in when blogging would get me down or upset. Thanks for always supporting me.
To Geena - Bitch, I fucking love you so much. Thanks for sharing your love and knowledge with me. Meeting you was one of my favorite things about blogging. I cannot wait to hang out in RL next year with you, max, and Melanie!
To Max - I am so lucky to have gotten closer with you this past year, and am so happy to call you one of my best friends bbcita Claudine!
To Hydra - You bitches are crazy and I love all of you. I'm so grateful to have found a group of friends that share the same sense of humor as me. Thanks for keeping me laughing on the daily, and thanks for supporting me in my new endeavors.

Welp, time to move on. I loved the Blake these last years, but.. and there is always a but.. its time. I don't spend the time in world like I once did. I am more on the outside breathing air, and forgetting to take flicks and picts.
I love all my friends here, on ye olde flickr, and in world. I am not leaving.. I am just letting go of a big parcel.. I shalt build again soon!!

It was a pleasure to witness a pair of Red and Blue Damselflies (Xanthagrion erythroneurum) land upon and slowly work their way down the stem of this flower, laying eggs as they go, to finally disappear beneath the water.
Ps. I sat for another 10 minutes, they still had not surfaced. I wonder how long they can stay under!!
