yes, i finished the last harry potter book. what a fantastic literical (is that a word?) ride this has been for all of us fans. jk rowling is truly one of the most brilliant story-telling minds of all time. she has an absolutely fantastic talent and i can't wait to see what she writes next.
Due to the things happening right now on flickr - I am from germany - I decided not to post any public photos anymore at the moment... I will stay here for some (private) groups I love, but will not continue my other activities here.
Thank you all so much for everything, I always loved the community here!

We don't have to forget someone we love,
what we need to learn is how to accept the verdict of reality without being bitter or sorry for ourselves.
We would be better of giving that dedication and love to perhaps someone more deserving.
And thanks for the memories. Since opened in 1958 to replace the 'temporary' bus station in Union Street a vast array of buses and coaches have passed through your entrance. A small selection of them was represented at the cavalcade and closing ceremony 16/7/2016.

Candlestick Park was is the home of the San Francisco 49ers and is the former home of the San Francisco Giants. The 49ers played their final regular season game at Candlestick last fall and moved to a new stadium in the South Bay for this season. Many fond memories of this place and many amazing athletes have played there including Joe Montana, Steve Young, Willie Mays...
I took this photo last fall as we descended into San Francisco Airport.
Shadow is leaving me soon. She's most likely going to live with my friend, so she'll be in good hands :) Goodbye, sweetie. Amare found new home too... They don't really suit my taste anymore, nothing that can be done about it.

The tail fin shows that the whale is going to dive deep, so you have to say goodbye for several minutes. Unfortunately after this shot we lost the humpback whale in the sea of fog.

Dieses Auto, ein BMW 328i E36, habe(n) ich/wir 19 Jahre lang gefahren, es hat uns nie im Stich gelassen, nie ist etwas Großes defekt gegangen. Aber jetzt im Mai mussten wir uns trennen, nur mit unverhältnismaßig großem finaziellem Aufwand wäre eine TÜV-Abnahme möglich gewesen. Obwohl das Auto eine Limousine war, hatte es die Gene eines Sportwagen, Ich habe dieses Auto geliebt ;) es überlebte die Abwrackprämie, aber jetzt fahren wir auch einen Japaner. Die Nummernschilder hängen jetzt als eine Erinnerung am car-port in Ungarn.
This car, a BMW 328i E36 I/we have run 19 years, it has never let us down, never is a great thing gone faulty. But now in May we had to separate us, only with large financial effort would be a maintenance inspection have been possible. Although it was a sedan, it had the genes of a sports car, I have loved this perfect car ;) now we also go one Japanese. The plates hang as a reminder at the car-port in Hungary now.

Irene passed through so I decided to head over to Brooklyn Bridge Park and check out the sunset. On the walk there it felt like another hurricane without the rain. The winds were really blowing. It was definitely worth it though. The fiery colors over lower Manhattan were beautiful.

This morning we said our goodbyes to Marilyn.
It broke my heart.
To come from a place where there was no place for love but room enough for cruelty and to live with us for 10 years learning that humans can be kind, trustful and loving is something I shall never forget.
Marilyn was the 'upstairs cat' for so many years. The 'downstairs' cat came when she began to fail in health.
A nurse to heal us, a knowledgeable soul who knew more than she ever let on.
Marilyn passed peacefully as she should.
No pain.
How can you ever truly thank an animal who has filled your heart with so much love.
Rest now...xxxxxxx
