That's the official press release. Now my story.

I told my editor I would cover this event without really reading the press release. I saw the name Anne-Marie Losique and tv show and thought, just go do it. It'll be news sensationalistic (is that a word cuz if it ain't I'm still using it) similar to taking pictures of a train wreck.

I read the press release properly after I said I would do it. My instincts told me to not back down and just do it. So I did.

Anne-Marie Losique is a kind of local celebrity. Celebrity might not be the right word. More like notorious. She used to VJ on Musique Plus. Her dad is known for running the Montreal Film Festival (before it went to the dumps). Ben Affleck did an interview with her sitting on his lap but he's also been known to hang out at Wanda's during Jennifer Lopez and before Jennifer Garner. Losique is now known to do these notorious pay per view tv shows or those really late night cable channels.

Well, I must say whomever did the PR people on this really know how to spin the event. I went thinking there would be an actual pole competition. I want to believe that it can be acrobatic and gymnastic like. Ahem. Not quite. They focused on the strip club theme instead and no poles to be seen.

Actually, I showed up late. Everything happens late in Montreal so I figured if I was 10 minutes late, I would still be on time. Who knew, news photographers were such spanksters. Supposedly, they showed up really early and sped up the process. So I missed the whole photo op thing. One of the other photographers showed me what I missed. Basically, it was the Hawaiian Tropic bikini line up.I scrambled to get as many shots as I could get. Luckily my editor called their people and they helped me get a few shots as most of the girls had disappeared and so did the real photographers who have print deadlines. A few spanksters were left and me.

I managed to take a few pictures of the judge. I didn't catch her name but she was a pretty girl from Halifax, Nova Scotia, underneath all that caked up a la Hugh Hefner wife wanna be stuff. The thing that gets me is that these girls are just that, girls. She was sweet and genuine. You could see she was really was pretty underneath it all. She smiled easily and seemed sincerely surprised that she was getting so much attention. She's probably smarter than she gives off if she manages to make her living traveling across Canada. I want to attribute ambitious to her personality and I have to admit she was likable.

Then we had the Suicide Girls. One girl kept taking off her top and pushing her boobies like they needed to be put back into place and did one interview sans bikini top. It kind of bothered me but I suppose for her, it was just another day of work. I kept looking at these two and thinking they must barely be over 18. Take off the "stuff" and they're just regular girls. Was it wrong for me to take their picture even though they wanted us to? They are someone's daughters... I dunno...

Then there's Anne-Marie Losique who stayed around, did interviews and posed for the cameras. I quietly took a few shots of her as she interviewed which would have been fine by me but the PR guy set up a scene for the remaining photographers but I think mostly for me and another guy who must have missed the beginning too. We got the make out session. This woke me up as to where I was. I can hear you guys, "OooOOOoOo girls, you're so lucky." Personally, I don't consider myself lucky but I am surprised at myself. This event has made me realize that I really am a photojournalist. I wasn't shocked on site, I focused on getting pictures. I wasn't freaked out too much by the set or the boobies or spanksters. I did my job and left. I also didn't touch anything. When I got outside of the club, I realized what I had done. I suppose this is where I also mention that television has numbed me. Having watched Californication and Nip/Tuck, this was not shocking as I thought it would be.

When it was all over, I stood outside in the cold for a while to set my bearings straight. Not sure my moral compass is back to normal. My major concern afterwards was how to process and present these pictures without losing my self respect and making an offering to spanksters. I think I managed. I can live with this set.

Last week, upon my arrival back into the world of photography following a year or so hiatus, a friend of mine asked me if I wanted to grab a few shots of her Nissan 370z on Saturday. Of course I was in!

We didn't really have a set plan beyond meeting around 9:45am and heading out to a spot or two for a few quick grabs. So I go out to meet her and discover that it's HORRIBLE weather for photos. The sky is one solid, ugly gray. Everything has this muted, desaturated look, and there is a steady falling of mist and drizzle coming from above. Disappointed, I was. But, in the interest of fun and adventure, we pushed on.

We started out with only one spot in mind, which was out by Jonestown (I'm not allowed to give away the exact location), so following a quick pit stop for some drooling at Elite Motorsports, we headed out to the spot. We explored out there a bit, grabbed a few shots, then headed back to town, no real plan in mind.

Generally, I'm all about the adventure. I find that the search for a place to shoot is almost as fun as the shooting itself, so I'm completely down with driving to random places to see what we can find. Especially when I am getting some wheel-time in a car that is a blast to drive!

We ended up downtown at the Baylor Art Wall. Which, if you've never been, is a pretty cool place. Then we made a stop at the Bentley/Aston Martin/Lotus dealership, again, just to drool a bit. From there we took some shots at the McNeil Limestone Plant, which is always one of my favorite places (I have no explanation). Finally we grabbed a shot at The Oasis and down the street at Mansfield Dam.

All in all, we were out about 6 hours and had a lot of fun. Despite the horrible weather and my never having shot cars before, I managed to pull out a few images that I am happy with, so I would call it a success. We had planned on getting some rolling shots, but the other party ended up being unable to make it, so we had to forego those for now. The upside? We will just have to go do this again soon!

So we (team banter) decided to go do some light painting in an abandoned quarry, in a tunnel of course.

Probably not the best day of spinning we've had. I think higher roofs add extra effect, but I do quite like the round roof and the effect that gives here.

Lisa finally got round to doing her orb, which pleased her greatly, though I am in trouble for not remembering to bring all my torches. Even forgot my damn LED Lenser (most epic tunnel torch. fact.) So all in all a mixed but highly enjoyable day.

Also, I apologise for the crappy watermark but some photo-rustlers be stealing from my flock of photos. ooarr.

Was pretty much a down day. I was about to go do a pulse check on my buddy at 9 or so. LOL He needed a bit more rest after his long walk Tuesday. We had a bite to eat and I took a nap. It had rained a bit in the night and was threatening to do so all morning. About noon we decided to make a run up into Hatcher and shoot some water. Cleaned out the back seat of the pickup enough that Toots could go along. 2 guys camera gear tripods bags etc can eat up a lot of space. :) Off we went. Sprinkling but not bad. Got up to Gateway and was raining a bit more. We unloaded our gear and shot for about 30 minutes as the rain got progressively harder. A lot of cameras and gear out there getting wet fast so back to the truck we went. Well Heck we are this far we may as well poke around up high a bit. The rain continued. We were able to get up close to the snowline but the gate to the mine was closed. Still raining. Stopped on the way down at one of toots fav summer running spots. Also a place where we scare up a ptarmigan now and then. Toots was not real motivated. This is a dog that loves water but hates rain. Frank took her up the mountain a ways in hopes she would stubble on to some birds. She hunted a bit and snuffed a bunch of squirrel boroughs. Of course the squirrels are fast asleep well below. No Birds. So we wandered back home and downloaded our short shoot. About 5 we went into Wasilla and had a bite to eat at a local mom and pops. Franks Treat. Thank You Frank. Frank was a bit surprised we only have one chain restaurant in the valley. Chilis. I have never been in the place. Anyway back home and settled in for the evening. BTY that means I go to sleep on the couch. LOL

Its cloudy as I type this morning but not raining so the plan is to go mooooosing. I think.

A coordenação Regional Centro Oeste do TERÇO DO HOMENS MÃE RAINHA – CRTHMR, participou no dia 27 de agosto de 2017, das 07 às 16 horas, na cidade de Anápolis – GO, do 4º Encontro Regional do Terço do Homens, na Paróquia São Francisco de Assis Goiás, Diocese de Anápolis. No dia anterior ao encontro, a coordenação foi agraciada com um convite do Sr. Onésimo, palestrante do evento, para participar de seu programa de rádio, na Rádio São Francisco FM – 97.7- das 19:10 às 19:50, em três blocos, onde o coordenador Feitosa saudou os ouvintes e deu uma rápida explicação sobre o Movimento do Terço dos Homens no Brasil e a programação do Encontro.

O encontro contou com a participação de 730 homens das localidades do Estado de Goiás: Silvânia, São Francisco de Goiás, Jesúpolis, Leopoldo de Bulhões, Guapó, Damolândia, Nerópolis, Nova Veneza, Ouro Verde de Goiás, Goianápolis, Teresópolis, Trindade, Valparaiso e Luziânia. Participaram também do evento homens e coordenadores do THMR do Distrito Federal: Taguatinga, Sobradinho, Santa Maria e Brazlândia. Todos foram bem acolhidos pelo Padres da Ordem dos Frades Menores de São Francisco de Assis, pároco, Frei Carlos Antônio da Silva, que nos presenteou com a Santa Missa e

Concelebrada pelo Frei Luiz Antônio Vieira. Frei Luiz também se dedicou o dia inteiro ao evento no acompanhamento e orientação.

Na homilia da santa Missa, o frei Carlos Antônio destacou a importância do Terço dos homens na sua Paróquia. O padre incentivou a oração do santo Rosário na comunidade e fundamentou as razões pelas quais o católico deve ser seguidor de Maria, desejando a todos participantes do terço uma boa jornada naquele domingo.

Após a missa, houve uma breve acolhida, distribuição de crachás e orientações do Sr. Adão aos participantes, antes do deslocamento para o auditório da Paróquia.

No auditório, foi servido fraternalmente um café da manhã, pela coordenação do Terço dos Homens da Paróquia. A agenda do dia foi destacada conforme descrito a seguir:

- 1ª Palestra - Frei Sergio – com o tema: Santo Rosário – Uma estrada para chegar a Deus.

- 2ª Palestra - Padre Lázaro Ilzo Daniel (Brasília - DF) paróquia São Judas Tadeu - Taguatinga Norte com o Tema: os 300 anos da aparição de Nossa Senhora.

Em seguida Dom João Wilk, Franciscano Conventual (OFMConv. - Ordem dos Frades Menores Conventuais), Província de São Maximiliano Maria Kolbe - Brasília – DF, nos presenteou com sua presença de Pastor e também destacou para os 730 homens presentes a passagem do Evangelho: Vós sois o sal da terra, vós sois a luz do mundo (Mateus 5.13-16). Ele falou: O que significa para nós, em nosso contexto, ser sal da terra? Como damos um sabor diferente a esta terra amada e criada por Deus? Após o momento de Dom João, a coordenação do Terço dos Homens Mãe Rainha do Centro Oeste fez um pedido em nome daquele cenáculo do Terço dos Homens, que Dom João declarasse o Terço dos Homens Mãe Rainha oficial na Diocese de Anápolis e nomeasse um leigo para coordenação Diocesana.

Às 12:45, todos foram convidados a fazer a oração e bênçãos dos alimentos, conduzida pelo Frei Luiz Antônio Vieira. Em seguida, de modo fraternal, foi servido um delicioso almoço pela coordenação (na pessoas de Adão costa Cardoso e Charleston Constante) da Paróquia de São Francisco de Assis.

Na parte da tarde – a terceira palestra com o nosso Irmão Onésimo Neto com o tema: É preciso lançar as redes.

As 15 horas a reza do Santo Terço.

Queremos registrar a participação da animação do encontro por conta do Terço dos Homens Mãe Rainha da paróquia Cristo Redentor de Taguatinga Norte DF.

Também registramos uma doação muito especial do Coordenador Adão costa Cardoso, a Imagem da Mãe Rainha, que ele fez para o encontro e doou para coordenação regional do Centro Oeste para que a paróquia que fosse sediar o 5º encontro regional do Centro Oeste levasse para paróquia e também que ela se tornasse uma Imagem Peregrina em todos as paróquias que sediasse o Encontro Regional.

Ao final do encontro foi sorteada a paróquia que sediará o V encontro Regional do Centro Oeste em 2018. Concorreram no sorteio 5 paróquias e a sorteada foi a Paróquia São Francisco de Assis, da cidade de Valparaíso 1, Diocese de Luziânia – GO, da coordenação do Terço dos Homens: Jandaí Rodrigues dos Santos e Antônio Dantas Cordeiro, que ficaram de levar e apresentar aos párocos e à Diocese a missão do Terço na cidade anfitriã.

As 16 horas, houve um breve momento para os agradecimentos aos organizadores do IV encontro Regional e encerramento das atividades naquela Paróquia.

My current project is the construction of a meter-scale modular origami tower using my ZEBRA construction system. This is the tip of the tower under construction, folded from 250 uncut sheets of 100 g/m² A4 office paper and assembled without glue or other means of fixation. Its base is built on top of the 47 cm x 47 cm framework segment shown here.

Presently, the tower measures 2.25 m from bottom to top (I'm not done yet, but this is as far as my living room allows me to go). Does this already set the world record for the tallest origami object built from standard small-scale paper formats? The tallest comparable object I'm aware of is Jeannine Moseley's business card cube model of Worcester Union Station (shown on this web page), which is less than 2 m high.

This adorable baby jacket is modeled after the bed jackets popular with women in the 1930s to the 1950s. It fastens with four sturdy metal snaps along the front, and has short floaty sleeves with a simple dropstitch detail. It is knit from yarn made by fellow Etsyian HandSpunandDyedToo—as the name suggests, she spins and dyes all her own yarn. This skein is made of extraordinarily soft merino wool, and is gentle enough for your baby to wear it directly on her skin. It is also extremely lofty, meaning it will keep in warmth without weighing down your little darling.

We had to wake up extra early to go do these shots, six fourty five to be exact. He had no idea where any of this would be, but we were lucky enough to find it. This background is totally used out but I wanted to expieriment with it just for fun.

My rendition of one of my favorite photos that's not a landscape. It's basically the same except it has an overcast sky in the background and the definition is cranked up to extremes.

So I cleaned my bearings yesterday and now my room smells like Kerosene. But I was having a grand time with smooth wheels, so I was longboarding and listened to Rookie of the Year (hence the wire) between Great Texts and Physics Tutorial, which, by the way, is the biggest joke of a class I've ever been in. We're stuck in that room for 50 minutes to do work that's identical to the homework that won't get graded, then they let us out and expect us to go do the exact same thing that we just did for next week. Why can't we just do the homework during the tutorial?

Also I got new shoes.

I'm one of those kids with the pumped up kicks that better run, better run, faster than Foster's bullet.

Boring photo, GREAT day!! I crashed my car at the end of July and have been stuck without one since then. As an early birthday present, my parents gave me a car :D I am so happy!! I have my freedom back. No more relying on buses and friends for lifts, independance is mine!!

Świadectwa chrześcijańskie „Transcendencja i wspaniałość życiodajnej siły Boga”

Urodziłam się w biednej, wiejskiej rodzinie, a ponieważ nie mieliśmy władzy ani statusu, inni od najmłodszych lat patrzyli na mnie z góry i często się nade mną znęcano. Za każdym razem, gdy tak się działo, czułam się niezmiernie upokorzona i nieszczęśliwa, i tęskniłam za dniem, w którym przybędzie wybawca, by odmienić mój los. Po ślubie, ponieważ moje życie było niełatwe, a mój syn często chorował, sąsiedzi opowiedzieli mi o wierze w Jezusa. Kiedy dowiedziałam się, że Pan Jezus może zbawić udręczonych od ich cierpień i kłopotów, bardzo mnie to poruszyło. Czułam, że w końcu znalazłam swojego Zbawiciela, zaczęłam więc wierzyć w Jezusa i gorliwie uczestniczyłam w spotkaniach, słuchając kazań, gdzie tylko mogłam. Potem jednak zdałam sobie sprawę, że kościoły coraz bardziej pustoszeją, a zazdrość, spory i intrygi pośród wierzących stają się coraz poważniejsze. Nie różniło się to od sytuacji w szerszym społeczeństwie. Siłą rzeczy byłam bardzo rozczarowana, wiara stopniowo we mnie słabła i z czasem przestałam chodzić na spotkania.

W 2000 roku pewna siostra opowiedziała mi o ewangelii Boga Wszechmogącego w dniach ostatecznych. Kiedy dowiedziałam się, że Bóg Wszechmogący jest powracającym Panem Jezusem, odczułam w sercu niewysłowioną radość. Każdego dnia w wolnej chwili brałam do ręki słowo Boże i pochłaniałam je tak, jak wygłodniały człowiek jedzenie. Szczerość w słowach Boga rozgrzewała mnie i pocieszała. Czułam troskę i miłosierdzie Stwórcy dla mnie, czułam Jego zbawienie, a mój spragniony duch zyskiwał podlewanie i zaopatrzenie. Potem zamieszkałam w dużej rodzinie Kościoła Boga Wszechmogącego, gdzie uczestniczyłam w spotkaniach i wykonywałam obowiązki wraz z moimi braćmi i siostrami. Wszyscy staraliśmy się podążać za prawdą podlewani i zaopatrywani przez słowa Boga Wszechmogącego, wśród braci i sióstr panowała zaś miłość i wszyscy pomagaliśmy sobie nawzajem. Nie było intryg, podstępów, nie było pogardy dla ubóstwa ani umiłowania bogactwa, a tym bardziej nie było krzywdy ani ucisku. W Kościele Boga Wszechmogącego naprawdę doznałam takiego szczęścia i radości, jak nigdy wcześniej. Ponieważ jednak wierzyłam w Boga Wszechmogącego, zostałam aresztowana i byłam brutalnie torturowana przez rząd KPCh, a następnie spędziłam rok w więzieniu. W kryjówce tego mrocznego demona to właśnie słowo Boga Wszechmogącego dało mi wiarę i siłę, i krok po kroku doprowadziło mnie do pokonania szatana i wzniesienia się ponad ograniczenia śmierci.

W nocy 24 sierpnia 2009 roku, gdy tylko zasnęłam, obudziło mnie gwałtowne łomotanie do drzwi. Zanim zdążyłam zareagować, siedmiu lub ośmiu policjantów wpadło do pokoju, wyłamując drzwi. Natychmiast zaczęli krzyczeć: „Nie ruszaj się! Wstawaj, idziesz z nami!”. Zanim zdążyłam się ubrać, usłyszałam kliknięcie migawki aparatu, którym zrobiono mi zdjęcie. Następnie policja przeszukała dom, wywracając go do góry nogami; nie pominęli ani kawałeczka papieru. Wkrótce dom wyglądał jak splądrowany przez bandytów. Wszystko leżało na podłodze i nie dało się przejść. Następnie trzech policjantów siłą zaprowadziło mnie do czekającej na zewnątrz furgonetki.

Po przewiezieniu na posterunek kazali mi stać twarzą do ściany. Jeden policjant przesłuchiwał mnie surowym głosem: „Mów prawdę o swojej wierze w Boga Wszechmogącego! Jaka jest twoja rola w kościele? Kto jest twoim przywódcą? Gdzie on jest? Gadaj wszystko!”. Odpowiedziałam bez strachu: „Nic nie wiem!”. Ich frustracja natychmiast przerodziła się w furię. Kopali mnie, wykrzykując obelgi i okrutne groźby: „Jeśli powiesz, pozwolimy ci odejść, a jeśli nie, zatłuczemy cię na śmierć!”. Popchnęli mnie na metalowe krzesło i zablokowali je sztabą. Widząc brutalność, z jaką policja mnie aresztowała, nienawistne groźby i zaciekłość na ich twarzach oraz to, że traktują mnie, bezbronną kobietę, jak gdybym popełniła jakąś straszliwą zbrodnię, nie mogłam opanować strachu i ogarnęła mnie panika. Myślałam: „Do czego są zdolni? Co zrobię, jeśli rzeczywiście zaczną mnie bić i torturować?”. Nie mogłam się powstrzymać i gorączkowo modliłam się w sercu do Boga: „Boże Wszechmogący! Moja postawa jest naprawdę zbyt niedojrzała i otoczona przez szatańskie siły zła czuję strach. Błagam Cię, daj mi wiarę i siłę. Chroń mnie, abym nie pokajała się przed szatanem i tymi demonami, abym mogła wytrwać i nieść o Tobie świadectwo!”. Właśnie wtedy przypomniałam sobie słowa Boga: „Powinieneś wiedzieć, że wszystko, co znajduje się w twoim otoczeniu, jest tam za Moim przyzwoleniem – Ja to wszystko układam. Uzmysłów to sobie i zadowalaj Moje serce w otoczeniu, które ci dałem. Nie lękaj się – Bóg Wszechmogący Zastępów z pewnością będzie z tobą; On jest waszym obrońcą i waszą tarczą” (Rozdział 26 „Wypowiedzi Chrystusa na początku” w księdze „Słowo ukazuje się w ciele”). Tak, wszystko, co mi się przydarzyło tego dnia, działo się za pozwoleniem Bożego tronu, więc chociaż byłam uwięziona w legowisku demona i otoczona sforą wściekłych potworów, nie walczyłam sama; Bóg Wszechmogący był ze mną. Mogłam na Nim polegać, a On był dla mnie silnym wsparciem, więc czego miałam się bać? Myśląc o tym, nie czułam już lęku, miałam siłę walczyć z szatanem do końca i przysięgłam, że wytrwam i będę nieść świadectwo o Bogu nawet za cenę życia!

Później policja próbowała torturami wymusić na mnie zeznania. Rankiem pierwszego dnia skuli mnie kajdankami, a kiedy wzięli mnie na badanie krwi, ciągnęli mnie tak mocno, że ostre krawędzie kajdanek wbijały mi się w ciało. Wkrótce skóra na moich nadgarstkach była poprzecinana i ręce przeszywał ostry ból. Potem przykuli mnie kajdankami do grzejnika i obawiając się, że ucieknę, zacisnęli kajdanki tak mocno, że moje nadgarstki zamieniły się w krwawą miazgę. Zdegenerowani policjanci przesłuchiwali mnie wielokrotnie, na próżno próbując zmusić mnie do ujawnienia informacji o kościele, ale ponieważ za każdym razem powtarzałam, że nic nie wiem, tracili panowanie nad sobą i wpadali w furię. Jeden z nich podszedł i ze złością mocno uderzył mnie w twarz. Natychmiast zobaczyłam gwiazdy, prawie straciłam przytomność, zęby zagrzechotały mi w dziąsłach, a łzy mimowolnie napłynęły mi do oczu. Kiedy policjant zobaczył, że płaczę, ale nadal milczę, skrzywił się z wściekłością, chwycił mnie za włosy, owinął je sobie wokół dłoni, a następnie mocno uderzył moją głową o ścianę. Uderzenie było tak mocne, że zakręciło mi się w głowie i zaczęło dzwonić w uszach. Wciąż kipiąc wściekłością, uderzył mnie w twarz kilka razy z rzędu i wrzasnął: „Będziesz płakać! Tak się to kończy, jak nie chcesz gadać!”. Mówiąc to, z ogromną siłą nadepnął mi na stopę butem. Po okrutnym biciu i dręczeniu ze strony tych diabłów byłam obolała i nie mogłam się ruszać. Leżałam na podłodze nieruchomo, jakbym miała umrzeć. Widząc mój stan, funkcjonariusze rzucili w moją stronę wiązankę przekleństw, po czym wyszli, trzaskając drzwiami. Po południu ponownie zaczęli brutalnie mnie bić, próbując zmusić mnie do ujawnienia informacje o kościele. Po kilku rundach takich tortur kręciło mi się w głowie i miałam mdłości, a ciało bolało mnie tak bardzo, jakby miało się rozpaść na kawałki. Czułam, że mogę w każdej chwili umrzeć. Ale ci niegodziwi funkcjonariusze wcale nie zamierzali odpuszczać. Zwyrodnialcy zaczęli przypalać mi stopy zapalniczką, od czego od razu zrobiły mi się dwa duże pęcherze. Bolało tak bardzo, że nie mogłam powstrzymać się od płaczu. Obolała siedziałam na podłodze, patrząc na policjantów, a oni wpatrywali się we mnie z bestialską wściekłością niczym piekielne demony, które chciały rozerwać mnie na strzępy, i mimowolnie poczułam się słaba. W milczeniu skarżyłam się Bogu: „Boże Wszechmogący, kiedy policja przestanie mnie dręczyć? Naprawdę nie mogę już dłużej wytrzymać...”. Czułam się tak słaba, że nie mogłam się utrzymać na nogach, i mimowolnie zaczęłam myśleć: „Co, jeśli powiem im tylko jedną rzecz? Wtedy cierpienie się skończy…”. Ale natychmiast pomyślałam: „Jeśli powiem choćby jedną rzecz, będę Judaszem, co oznacza, że zdradzę Boga”. W moim sercu rozgorzała zaciekła walka i wtedy przypomniałam sobie słowa Boga: „Rób to, co uszczęśliwi wszystkich, to, co przyniesie pożytek dla człowieczeństwa i to, co doda do twego własnego przeznaczenia. W przeciwnym razie cierpiącym pośród klęski nie będzie nikt inny jak ty sam” („Przygotuj dostatecznie wiele dobrych uczynków dla swego przeznaczenia” w księdze „Słowo ukazuje się w ciele”). „Nie ulituję się więcej nad tymi, którzy nie dają Mi ani joty lojalności w chwilach udręki, bo Moja łaska jest ograniczona. Co więcej, nie lubuję się w nikim, kto Mnie kiedyś zdradził, a jeszcze mniej utożsamiam się z tymi, którzy wyprzedają dobra swoich przyjaciół. Oto jest Moje usposobienie, bez względu na to, kim taka osoba może być” („Przygotuj dostatecznie wiele dobrych uczynków dla swego przeznaczenia” w księdze „Słowo ukazuje się w ciele”). Słowa Boga były nagłym przebłyskiem świadomości. Siłą rzeczy moje poprzednie myśli mnie wystraszyły. Zastanawiałam się: „Byłam dzisiaj prześladowana przez szatana, a ja zamiast myśleć o tym, jak polegać na Bogu, aby pokonać te diabły, wytrwać i nieść o Nim świadectwo, to martwiłam się o własne ciało. Czyż nie czyni mnie to samolubną i nikczemną? Bóg jest sprawiedliwy i święty, więc gdybym sprzedała moich braci i siostry, stając się żałosnym Judaszem, czyż nie obraziłbym usposobienia Boga, skazując się tym samym na zniszczenie? Bóg pozwolił złym policjantom mnie torturować, abym mogła wyraźnie ujrzeć demoniczną istotę KPCh, polegającą na dzikim przeciwstawianiu się Bogu i czynieniu z Niego wroga, abym mogła jeszcze bardziej zwrócić się ku Bogu, pozostać Mu wierna, wytrwać i nieść o Nim świadectwo”. Po dojściu do tych wniosków poczułam żal i miałam poczucie winy z powodu mojego nieposłuszeństwa. Chciałam okazać skruchę przed Bogiem. Bez względu na to, jak policjanci znęcali się nade mną i torturowali mnie, nie chciałam pobłażać swojemu ciału. Chciałam tylko okazać posłuszeństwo Bożym zrządzeniom i planom, znosić wszelkie cierpienia, wytrwać i nieść świadectwo o Bogu, aby działaniem udowodnić swoją lojalność wobec Niego. Nawet za cenę życia nie zostanę Judaszem i nie zdradzę Boga! Dopóki oddycham, nigdy nie poddam się ani nie ulegnę szatanowi! Tego wieczoru policjanci kazali mi usiąść na podłodze z wyciągniętymi nogami, a następnie szarpnęli w górę moje skute za plecami ręce i od razu przeszył mnie silny ból ramion i zranionych nadgarstków. Kipiąc ze złości, włączyli wentylator i wycelowali w mnie najsilniejszy strumień chłodnego powietrza. Cała trzęsłam się z zimna i zgrzytałam zębami. Miałam wtedy okres, ale nie pozwolili mi na zmianę podpaski, mówiąc, że mam sobie sama radzić. Ale na tym się nie skończyło. Przynieśli witkę z miękkiego drzewa i bili mnie nią po całym ciele, a każde uderzenie pozostawiało krwawy ślad. Strasznie bolało, więc próbowałam się odsuwać, ale kiedy zobaczyli, że unikam ciosów, bili mnie jeszcze bardziej brutalnie, mówiąc: „Zobaczmy, czy teraz zaczniesz mówić! Zrobię z ciebie kalekę!”. Okrucieństwo i sadyzm tych zwyrodniałych policjantów były straszliwe, ale dzięki Bożemu przewodnictwu i ochronie nie poddałam się im, a oni nie uzyskali ode mnie żadnych informacji.

I dug this image out and worked on it a bit. It was taken a few years ago with my friend from California, Matt Granz. He was in the area with his family and gave me a call and we decided to meet and go do a shoot. I suggested Ohiopyle State Park in PA.

We eventually went on a hike to Jonathan Run falls, upper and lower. We had had some rain that week and the run was flowing well.. This is a shot of the upper falls which I like better of the two. Both are beautiful in their own right. The image had a 1/3 second exposure which is long for my preference. Usually like a 1/6 or 1/8th with this kinda flow but it worked. The hike down Jonathan Run is awesome especially in the Spring with the native wildflowers. Along the trail there were two wooden bridges that crossed the stream at different distances along the trail. When Matt and I went they were knocked down about a month earlier by a flash flood. So we got wet and walked across the run in both places. A few months ago my buddy Jim Fotia and I went to check it out and the bridges were still down. PA state funding I guess huh? Anyway, check them both out if ya have a chance. Beautiful. Sugar Run Falls is another one close by to these two.

Quite a nice finish to the week, sunset colour and all. Thought I was out of harms way setting up on the rocks which is about 10 feet high but as happens a larger than normal wave smashed so hard that it got me a beauty and soaked the camera. How he still works I don't know but I'm glad he does. Not really looking to buy another in a hurry.

Used all my Photoshop knowledge to do this. A lot of the effort is purely to get rid of the colour cast from the cheap graduated filter used but then I keep going, doing more and more, massaging, flossing. Looks a bit surreal but this is the type of image I've found to be interesting when looking through others works. The sky is exaggerated a fair bit. Done from one raw file. Bit of brush work in ACR and alot of colour balancing in CS4 which is getting easier as my understanding of selections grows.

While in Lapland we had to take a husky ride, 6 of these these poor dogs had to drag me and the clan for 4 hours, I was feeling sorry for them but they were lovin it, all they wanted was more....

half way we took a break, the guides made some hot drinks on a campfire, it took ages for everyone to clear for me to take this shot. we were actually on a frozen lake about the size of Lough Mask, the word amazing doesnt go do it justice.
