Isolated line of hoodoos "guarding" the entrance to Goblin Valley State Park, Utah. A very very strange place.

Coal Goblins! Like the goblins in Goblin Valley, but just a little more interesting looking. With their gnarled shapes and dirty coal bases they are some of the weirdest weathered shapes of rock I have seen in my life as a geologist. Here they are sitting in front of one of the more prominent buttes in the Hankesville area with the Milky Way rising above!

The Goblin Ha' (hall) is a subterranean structure within the ruinous remains of Yester Castle.

The original stone keep within the castle is thought to have been built prior to 1267 by Sir Hugo de Giffard. Giffard was known as the 'Wizard of Yester' and was reputed to have been a powerful warlock and necromancer. It is in the undercroft of the castle that he was thought to practise his sorcery. 14th century chronicler John of Fordun mentions the large cavern in Yester Castle, thought locally to have been formed by magical artifice. Legend supposed that Hugo was able, via a pact with the Devil, to raise a magical army to his aid, and use them to carry out his will. It is this army of hobgoblins that was considered the builders of Yester Castle.

Considering the age of the castle and the ruinous state of the rest of the building, the Goblin Ha is amazingly well preserved. Inside it, there is an eerie feeling with little light getting in to the room. When we were there it was silent in the hall until the leaves in the doorway started rustling. We assumed it was someone else coming in but nobody was there. And the wind, which was quite strong outside, was not even blowing in the doorway. Spooky.

In a hope to get more females collecting Goblins, we have created a new colourful range titled Fiends. Come on ladies you know you want them.

"Look, Ratguts, get this thing moving... NOW!" screamed the goblin wizard. He hated the smell of fish at the best of times and in hot days like these, the smell was particularly bad. And shaking about, high up on his wooden throne always made him feel sick. But the worst thing of all was incessant sound of buzzing. He hated the buzzing most of all.

"Yes Boss yes," snapped the hapless driver, "I'm trying to get it to move... but if the spider ain't hungry, then he just ain't hungry!"

"Well hurry up and get him hungry, or we'll see if he likes the taste of Ratguts for breakfast!"

Dangling the pair of rotting fish further away from them both, and in front of where he can only assume the giant spider is looking, Ratguts encourages the cloud of flies to move in a way that attracts the spider's attention.

"Woah, Boss, hold on. Here we go!" he calls out behind him as the giant spider lurches forward.

"That's better," roars the wizard, holding onto the swaying throne that little bit tighter, and turning an even paler shade of olive green. "Now, head towards those human lines. We'll give them something to worry about, if my name's not Gazgob the Wizard... CHARGE!"

The secret entrance to the Goblin Lair—a moveable mirror.

This goblin was inspired by the amazing goblin illustrations of Brian Froud. It was specifically designed for inclusion in the illustrators' directory, Work/Life 2. Since I work primarily as an origami illustrator, participating in this directory was a natural choice for me. The fact that Janine Vangool, the editor of the directory, is an amazingly creative Canadian was just icing on the cake.

Edit: I forgot to thank Philip Tong for helping me to get a good photo of the goblin for the book!

Goblin Guy. My first model of the new year! (And possibly one of the only models of the new year at the rate I've been going!)

Up at two am to race the sun for this spectacular sunrise. It was a busy day- two National Parks, one State Park and a long hike on BLM land. Over a thousand images made. This is the first I am showing.

The TK-110 Goblin is a tool used for surgical strikes by the Commonwealth planetary ground forces. Mostly for taking out strategical targets in the battlefield.

Its menacing looks and incredibly durable armor also makes it efficient for crowd control in colonies plagued by civil unrest.

It is capable of autonomous operation but is usually maneuvered by single pilot with a neurological interface. The pilot can "feel" hits and targeting lasers on the tank's hull and can almost immediately take evasive actions. The TK-110 is equipped with two dual high yield cesium-bismuth-germanite laser cannons that can fire both pulse and phase beams. A pulse beam is mostly sufficient to take out any target, and the phase beam is only used sparsely because it quickly drains the battery.

In december last year I ordered some dark green parts and among them some dino bodies because I had an idea how to use them. When I got them I started trying out other ideas and ended up with this mech design. I might return to my original idea at some other time. I know it isn't March yet, but I had to post it for a contest. Hope you like it!

Hey everyone! Here's a build from about four months ago made for a MOC-off between me, Roanoke Handybuck and Mountain Hobbit (check them out!). The other builds should be posted soon in the next day or two, so be looking for those.

I tried to do a bit different goblin town than I had seen before. So I wanted a two part build with a bridge connecting them, rather than just a rock wall with wood on it. Let me know what you think of it!

As I said before, check out Mountain Hobbit and Roanoke Handybuck!

To God be all the glory,

A series of Drone sequences of Goblin Valley Utah. A permit is required to fly your drone over this area and once you have it, the permit is good for life, at least that is what I was told by the Park Ranger Station. Captured with a DJI Phantom 4 Plus.

Each house has a full interior and the model is finished on all sides. There's also a fun cupcake flinging catapult play feature. See the video on Youtube.

Ahoy, Mateys!!! Here be the toughest goblins on the sea. I used Lego, BrickWarriors, and Brickforge weapons and armor to make these scurvy dogs stand out from the rest. Sorry for the poor photo quality. I have more close ups of these sea rats in the album which are clearer. Make sure to check them out, thank you.

This one is new. Looks OK, though the hair is a bit unruly.

The Goblin Forest, otherwise known as the Kamahi Walk.

The forest looks like something from a fantasy movie.

It is primarily kamahi trees which began life perched on the trunks of other trees. Their trunks and branches have grown through and around the existing trees, creating the distinctive gnarled, twisted forest. Hanging mosses, liverworts and ferns have added to the strange effect.

I made my own goblin glider, based loosely on how it appears in TASM2.

I saw TASM2 the other day, and it's one of my favourite superhero films. Heartbreaking, but amazing, even if Pete and Gwen do make you feel like such a third wheel.

Traveling down that goblin road.

Green Goblin can't wait for Halloween! He and the Robot monkey have prepared some Jack o' Lanterns.
